A-Wing pic review

I just love TRU in France, they received the brand new A-wing (set n

and batch 2 of the beauty !! As you can see, this set only has 4 stickers !!! yeayyy impressive, most impressive !!

Now lets go to the Mfs: the pilot is more or less the same except that the head is flesh and lacks a microphone nbut the helmet is the same (look, he's saying hi !!!!):

The mechanic is sweet !!! nothing really spectacular but simplicity is effective ;)

Now lets go to the "cart" thingy: its really simple (way to simple) BUT its always good to have a moving ladder for our brave heros !!!

Now the last pic is the entire set "in situation":

So to wrap up this review, this set is a MUST have for all SW fans !!!! (got 3 of those babies *satis* ), so run and buy it NOW (uses my jedi mind trick on YOU :D :P ).

you're right, the cockpit isn't much, but the ship has some beautiful lines... Still, 25

No new sets apart the A-wing unfortunatly !!!! No city, no Exo force, no other SW sets !!! I guess now it will be january ;)

Thanks for the review, it looks awesome! This set keeps looking more impressive each time we see new pics. I like the computer screen showing the A-Wing about to crash into the Star Destroyer bridge!

Yeah, that piece is cool (even though its the same part as the old Awing but in new grey)!!!!

a great review yoda and the pics are great. when put next to the old a-wing the new one looks so good! i have 2 of the old one but i some how think i may have more than that of the new one when i can get them. thanks again for the review! :-D

Actually its bigger than the old version: its approximately 19 cms long and 14.5 wide (guns to guns), so its really a decent sized ship ;)

love the coloer on this new a-wing is great , the gray wasn t that best on thz old one

Actually, if you take my undersize pic, we could replace the grey inverted slopes in white and dark red to make it better (minor mods are always nice) ;)

well... if you are talking about mods... i would use stickers to apply on the slopes in the cockpit, to add just a little bit more computer stuff to it. but then, i guess you know already, i like detailed cockpits... ... for some reason... |-/

The A-Wing sure looks cool. The only thing that dissapoints me is the little hover cart. The two smiling minifigs make up for that though. The mechanics torso looks interesting(Seems that Lego dropped the tan uniformed mechanics)

I'm right there with you on how that old A-wing just needed a few tweaks. I'm really excited about the new one (I'm glad this answers the "will this be sold in Europe" question). The old one sort of looked thrown together in my opinion, but this one looks like they really took some time and consideration to get it right.

Sne, I know you may not be a fan of the cockpit, but if you ever look at a cross-section of the fighter the cockpit is tiny. At least we get that cool printed slope again. The A-wing pilot is still one of my favorite mini-figs. Anyways, I'm glad to see its already showing up for some folks.
