I almost wet my pants seing you guys thinking this toyota would be powered by a V8 engine.

This car is a collaboration between subaru and toyota, it's powered by Subaru's 2.0-litre boxer engine, which puts out 146bhp in current production form.

146 bhp.

What a blast. Some fords are more powerfull. It seems they'll upgrade the engine a bit for this coupe, but let's be realistic, you can't get much more than 250 bhp from a 2.0 litres four pots engine.

Still excited ?

Subaru and mitsubishi have proven you can go pretty far north of 300bhp with theie 2.0 engines and still have it be reliable.

I'm not excited in the fact that I'm not much of a Toyota fan, but I'm still excited.

A bit of break in discussion, but with winter, ice and snowy roads just around the corner (and me getting my car ready for it), I stumbled across this ancient Statoil-commercial. As funny it is, there is a surprising amount of people who do just what this guy does.

Except maybe the last bit.

Quick edit: Aww, no embedding :(. Sorry 'bout that, but trust me, its worth watching if you want to laugh. ;)

As Big Cam said, you can easily, and reliably surpase 250hp from 2.5 liters. The key is forced induction. IN this case, turbo charging. As of now, the same engine powers the Subaru STI and makes north of 300hp. I'd still much rather see a V8 under the hodd, but its a start.

You want to see a hardcore 4WD? Here it is...

Introducing the truck that was tested by none other than Top Gear's Richard Hammond, welcome the Bowler Wildcat.

11vjm2q.jpg

One bloody freak of a car, it will punch you through the roughest of terrain while maintaining its speed. It is available in 4, 4.6 or 5 litre V8 engine displacements or even a 2.8 Turbo Deisel variant

The newest member of the feline family is the Nemisis, which has 410 torques. Well if you wanted to perform a steep hillstart you would want some form of acceleration, wouldn't you.

But hang on, there is one more challenger for this title, only this time it has a top speed of 100kph. But I doubt it will need the speed for it has a side machine gun with an approximate range of over 800 metres and a main gun that will gun you down at 200 rounds per minute. Its main gun will fire effectively at up to 3800 metres, but maximum range is thousands of metres more.

Meet the ASLAV.

Yes, it weighs at over 13 tonnes.

Why is it that complete idiots always get filthy rich?

http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/The-Galvesto..._lagoon_bugatti

Because its the 'complete idiots' that sit in the office all day and make phone calls to their precious companies that don't know how to drive. That's why they employ chaffuers to drive them everywhere and anywhere, so when some company like Bugatti release some insanely expensive car, they 'complete idiot' buys one because they think it would show off their wealth. Only problem is that since they employed a chaffuer to drive them they forgot to drive themselves.

I think I explained it well.

Big Cam, my story is one of a complete idiot who rammed our car, 'accidentally' she said.

Some idiot hit us in a minor car accident on this street intersection (with lights). She hit us on the right side of our boot and shifted the whole chasis forward(my personal accident damage assessment - MPADA). The front right door won't close properly and the rear right won't even open. I know you may have guessed, but the boot won't open either. The boot is pretty much broken, with the tailights hanging out as well as the wheel-well has been smashed with the mudguard and the metal chasis behind it so close that it is basically shaving the wheel.

I will upload pictures soon though. No one is hurt badly, but it it is the first time I evr rode backwards in an ambulance.

The car that hit us, is a Toyota Lancruiser 200s Series GXL V8 Wagon. It is mid-2000 model and didn't suffer a scratch, IT DIDN'T HAVE A BULL-BAR, YET IT BROKE OUR CAR!

The driver was so annoying, it is amazing I didn't shout my head off at her. She said things like, "Are you okay?" I know that many people would say this but she kept saying it in a careless tone all the time and she bolted in her car once she heard the ambos say that the cops will be here shortly.

What happened is we were turning left but a person was walking across the road. No worries mate, we'll wait. But the stupid woman in the Landcruiser just bucked us off into the street at about 40Kph to 60Kph. She didn't care, all she wanted was licence numbers and regos so she could call her lawyers.

STUPID GIT SHE WAS!

Now our '98 Holden Commodore is broken and almost beyond repair. I'll post pictures and a full damage report when it is found.

BTW, it was 14th November

Damn, that sucks, I'm interested to see pictures so I can understand the magnitude but I hate it when someone else ruines what you have, and they barely get punished. :hmpf_bad: .

My dream car is the Mercedes Benz Unimog U5000

The more realistic variant would be the Land Rover Defender 110 SW, a very beautiful car in my opinion.

That Mercedes really is a dream

If my dad saw that Land Rover he would throw up a little in his mouth, but I kinda agree that it looks good

The unimog is probably the most capable factory off road vehicle. Over 16" of ground clearance (and that's under the axles, not the frame) two transfer cases, locking front and rear differentials, portal axles, near 90' approach and departure angles. One hell of a beast!

Another great factory off road rig. If only the reliability were better on Land Rovers. Either way i agree. A beautiful rig.

It is a Holden Commodore '98 Executive, as stated in the full paragraphs of info that was written a week ago. Since it is in a car repair yard, it is bunched up with other vehicles and getting a full picture is out of the question for now.

Where you going to talk about any of these cars, like why you like them, or did you just post half the supercars that are currently made since it's a car thread?

JCC, I don't have a personalized plate becasue I don't like to draw uneeded attention to myself.

The worst personalised plate I've seen was DISNEYLND. The car had nothing to do with Disney. It's not like they would pay you to have that on your plate. The best one I've seen is SALAD4U on a Lexus RX with a full body salad vinyl for a Salad catering company. That is a good use of personalised plates

Isn't that the point of it, Big Cam.

If I had one of those plates I would probably have (this is assuming I started to race in motocross for the long-run): the make of my bike and the racing number. Basically either KTM : 73 (I like no. 73) or Honda : 73. I also like numbers 96, 73 and 21. Isn't that a bit of trivia!

Legolink, maybe you should have either resized those pictures or found smaller ones. And honestly, horsepower isn't everything! In smaller motocross tracks the 250s might buzz by faster or for instance drag races; whoever gets the better start practically wins the race.

BTW, I like Lotus Elises/Exiges, Pagini Zondas and Toyota Landcruiser 70s. I think I have narrowed it down. (P.S. my bike love-list is much bigger)
