Navy Trooper Fenson Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 i think they didnt use a regular inverted slope for the "detail under the ship" because it looks like the ship is built in two parts and connected with a technic pin and then the top is added. the inverted slope would make in unable to be put together in that way. am i right? You are right but they also could have build the ship with basics and without connection. It only connects the front with the hull pieces with the passenger room. When I am thinking of it, it seems that the ship could have been more stable with the normal bricks... Well, what are you standin' here for? Make a(nother) review! Quote
Front Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Thank you for a nice review. I've had the oppertunity to build this set myself, and although the space ship has an odd shape, I've come to like it, with it's nice vertical wing, and the neat door mechanism. The doors really excited me already during the build. I'm glad that most of you like the new Nute Gunray figure. As the hat was my first System part I ever made, allow me to add a close up photo of the cool minifigure. Front Quote

I've been thinking that this was a good compromise between making it look like the 'real deal' and making it fit a minifig head "I sense a small disturbance in the force of titles" Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Great job on that hat Front. I didn't even know you worked at Lego! Am I ever out of it. Quote

I'm not really 100% satisfied with the design, there a some compromises that I had to make, but I guess no Star Wars fan doubt which caracter the hat belongs too. Front Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Really great review as always. I wasn´t so sure about this set before, but your review really made me want it now. Also the small fun things you added to it is nice to read and see. Laughed out high to the picture where you stuffed all the figs in the back. It really is super great to get a Nute after solong time. Now please a Padme as well, and no CW one please. I so regreat not picking this up as well in Günzburg now Nice job on the hat Front -Ras- Quote
Zorro Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Outstanding review of a great set! I find this a very beautifully and detailed set. Quote
KimT Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I so regreat not picking this up as well in Günzburg now Yeah me too. I should have gotten all of them and then stay there until June 2nd Quote
Ratshot Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 A very good review my friend I really like the Separatists, so buying this awesome shuttle is a 100% must for me. Quote
Future74 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Thumbs up for that hat Front. And a very nice picture as well, could be one of Smokebelch I think more sets should have "alien" SW figures. That's why I look forward to the Battle of Endor and the Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser set. We've had to wait long time for Nute Gunray, and getting Onaconda Farr is a double +. Keep them coming TLC. Quote
Future74 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I build mine yesterday and there is one thing that I noticed. Why were the front and back done separatly? If they were one and open it could mean more space. I feel some modding coming up... Quote
