Sir Norman Ray Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I'm not a regular in the world of Trains and Town, as such, I don't know what your customs are round these here parts. But I like my beer cold, my brandy large and my LEGO fun. In getting ready for BrickCon'09, I'm going to be contributing to Operation Bricklord, a WW2 scene involving Brickarms. My WW2 South Essex (sah!) will be my main lot, with its MechBrick Churchill tank, but I'm also planning on taking a little bar. As the entire thing has to be modular, and I haven't ever used LDD before, I was hoping some nice folks round these here parts would give some help my little bar/cafe. Please note, there is meant to be battle damage, hence the holes and such. I heard that building Modular buildings in LDD is hard, but being a typical English bloke, I ignored sound advice and dived head first into this. Thank you again for looking. -Sir Norman Ray. Quote
Tom Bricks Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Having built modular buildings in I can say it was hard at first after a while you get used to it. I have a few suggestions for someone new to LDD: 1. The colors make the model look allot different on LDD than in real life - thats going to be allot of blue and maybe a little bright for a war MOC 2. I would build the interior outside the building and then add it in later when actually building 3. Measure the height of your building to get a sense for it in real life as you could be building it to large or small compared to your other houses or vehicles Good luck and for a first try on LDD this is great Quote
