jansued Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 One thing I have to point out is that letting Lego bricks come in contact with butter is a bad idea. It weakens the material, and although the feet of the big "squirrel" probably isn't subjected to high loads, I would never do something similar. Thanx for the hint, but I got a Imperial Decontamination Unit to clean up the Taun-Taun before he spreads butter in the Hangar... Take care, Jan Quote
Zzz Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Thanks a lot for the review, will get my 2 copies of this when it is in normal shops and I can get discount. It is a quite good set, I like the new goggles and the Laser turret the most, after the Tauntaun. What left me in wonders is the normal smiley faces on the troopers. This is Star WARS, isn't it? Anyway, I guess this and Endor will sell like hot biscuits and TLC will remember to give us some OT sets next year! Quote
bamaker Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Wonderful in-depth review, but I couldn't help but wonder how you keep your refrigerator so clean. Mine so crammed full of last week's leftovers I don't think I could fit a squirrel in there. Anyway, can't wait to get this set or three. The rebel troopers are wonderful and may have surpassed the tauntaun as my favorite part. Quote
calebexo01 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 i posted in this topic two days ago but my post has dissapeared. i dont want to retype everything i said so im goning to make it short. i want this set. it is cool. way too expensive. great review. Quote
Ewok Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Good Review! I've also bought this set, and I must say: it's great. Supe figs, good functions and the price is ok. I like the "rebel katapult" best! But the tauntaun is the best thing in this set! Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 how much is this in USD? 20$ American, I believe. Quote
SWMAN Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 This is really a great set. The two things that stand out are the Tauntaun and the new goggles on the Rebels. I hope that Lego will continue this idea of a "bigger" battle pack with a little more substance. They are great excuses to give us both a Hero that we have way too many of and something totally new. Legoman Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I good reveiw of a great set. I'm really looking forward to this one, and will most definately buy mutiples. It is expencive, but compared to other 2009 sets, I'm happy with it. I hope it comes to NZ soon! I picked up two of these a few days ago... Wow, what a beauty! I seriously don't know what your guys are complaining about. I managed to get mine 20% off, down to $40NZ. sure, the trench is stupid, but everything else... wow, i can't get over how awsome this set was.... (Yeah, thats what happens when you starve OT collector's for long enough, they'll love you for anything ) Quote

Teddy Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) Dear all, got this set last Saturday. I like it a lot as an army builder. Two snow-troopers and two snow-rebels. A Han Solo in snow gear and a TaunTaun. For only 27 Euros! The snowtroopers alone would have set you back around 30 Dollars on BL four weeks ago. They are practically giving them away! Kind regards, Teddy P.s. Yeah okay, maybe 27 euros is a bit steep for a set this size. But the minifigs made it worth my while. P.p.s. Dear Admins, sorry for all the emoticons. Wout Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Thank you for the nice review and the Battle of Fridge. The price is too high, but if I don't buy this set, It will be around 100 euro in 3 years time (and I know a shop where it's 4 or 5 euro cheaper ) It could have some more trench in it and a nice white baseplate (16x32 or even 32x32) Quote
YG-49 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 What exacly are the mistakes? I can't see anything wrong with most of those.....P.S: 100th post They are all the old minifigs, with an exception of Jet Tropper Quote
