Loganwan Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 These are so pretty nice looking sets. I have not been into the animal creator series, and really there is too much good stuff coming out to start now. The vehicles look great, lots of fun designs. I really like the buildings so far. I have had a great time building the beach house, and the town house. This new house is a little blocky, and I am not sure about those shutters...very 1986 of them. I do think that there are a lot of good pieces in tan and some nice windows, so I think the set is salvageable. That is the best thing about LEGO, and arguable about Creator, if you don't like it change it. If you hate it, build something else. Is '09 the best LEGO year yet or what? Woo Hoo! Quote
Svelte Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 The Red Dragon makes me think, didn't they already make a green version of this? right down to the alternate models and the light brick feature? Similar, but not identical. I think I like the green one a little better. The problem with the dark bley click joints is they don't really blend in at all with the new colour scheme. I think the head on the old one is a bit more menacing, and the wings look larger too. Quote
kris kelvin Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 The new house is really nice, but honestly ... can we get some roof bricks in colors other than black and red?!?! True, true... Maybe something in brown or grey in the future dear TLC? Quote
Raphy Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Actually Posades, not in America but these are European style homes and quite a lot of them have red roofs - sometimes blue, tan, black . . . . Quote
Tomahawker Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I saw 6753 in my local TRU the other day. The box said it had 1,294 pieces which for $80 is a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, it was $89.99 at TRU As was mentioned earlier, it has some nice functionality with the HOG steering and the tilting upper transport deck. I also think the alternate models are some of the best looking I have seen from a Creator set. Quote
BlazingDragon Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) I saw 6753 in my local TRU the other day. The 6752 & 6753 sets look really fantastic, and have jumped to the top of my 2009 want list (along with the Technic Crane Truck and Front Loader). My local TRU also had 6753 for $89.99. TRU seems to sell the Creator sets at, or very close to, MSRP, so maybe the MSRP for 6753 is $89.99. I guess we have to wait for it to be listed on LEGO Shop@home to confirm. Aeturnus Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 New house looks good.Seems to be a bulk supply of houses to choose from these days Quote
prateek Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 (edited) according to this pic, 6753 is $89.99 (proof to earlier posts) Edited May 24, 2009 by prateek Quote
CP5670 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 The Highway Transport is looking like a must-have for me. It's the first such vehicle that TLG has made at a large scale, and the inclusion of steering is good to see. The price is a little high by Creator standards but it's still a good deal compared to other Lego sets in general. As Tomahawker said, the alternate models look excellent as well. The fire engine looks very good too, and it seems to have detail comparable to some Model Team sets. I'm not sure if the ladder has any interesting functionality though. Quote
VBBN Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Thank you lego for 6753. Alas my dark ag I might buy it. Quote

wackyfm Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Just wondering. I'm seeing the picture of it in the lego summer 09 catalog. ToysRus doesn't have it yet. Didn't buy it yet, but I found it in JouéClub, Bvd des Italiens in Paris... I might get it soon, but I just spent €300 on CC+GG Wakwak Quote
ZeeK Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) Maybe this BrickShelf folder (THE LINK) will do? I think that there are 2 sets simultaneously - with different models. Edited July 3, 2009 by kobe Quote
just2good Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I really want this set! I'll probably get it next week. Quote
Beej Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I'd love to get one of these (heck I'd even get two!) but the Australian price on the S@H site is highly inflated. Maybe I should ask TLG how US$59.99 converts to AU$129.99? I didn't know the Australian dollar was so weak! Quote
Davey Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I have not bought this set yet, but I did have the chance to spend some time checking it out at Brickworld 2009. This set (in my opinion) is a great parts pack. It was a lot of good tan bricks useful in architecture as well as some great windows and those fantastic roof slopes. As a set, I think the design is a nice addition to the line of 'Family Homes' that have come out of the past few years. The home designs have been varied enough that putting them all on one layout doesn't give you that 'little boxes' feel (if you don't get the 'little boxes' reference...see here). Whether you decide to build this as a set or 'MOC it up'...you won't be disappointed. -Dave ToT-LUG Quote
prateek Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Thanks kobe for a BS link. Now that's a reason to buy more than 1 Quote
