Today I was walking across campus, heading to class, and I spotted something in the grass. "what could it be?" I wondered. Then, as I walked a little bit closer, I saw that it was a Grand Moff Tarkin minifigure. I was so :classic: . then I was :pir-cry_sad: because it had no hair, half of a hand, and one arm. :hmpf_bad: . I really thought I was going to get lucky.

Well, at least you found free lego. And you got the head and torso, those are pretty good.

did I mention that the face had scratches and grass stains all over it. and the torso printing was almost completely faded? :hmpf_bad: Now I say that the Death Star II blew up and GMT fell right on my campus!

I dont see a point in this. I hope you find another that is in perfect condition. Can we have a pic?

Good find? Maybe you could use the torso in some kind of Post-Apoc diorama?

At least you've got a spare torso you can customize and test on, right?

We had buckets and buckets of old Lego in Infants School (reception to year 2 or K to 2nd grade, i think, for those across the pond) and I played for hours with it. All the motorcycles were broken but that didn't matter because they were space bikes, I made some huge MOCs (One was a space station with an engine room mechanism made of doors...) and impressed the boys  . Free Lego is always awesome.

I once found some lego in a "waste ground"/vacant lot that had been used for den building for generations. Can't tell how old it was because it was just bricks, but its proof that lego was built to last.

I found a Mutt torso and legs on my school bus. Kinda random, since I know no one on my bus has any Lego. :sceptic:

At the beginning of the school year somebody wanted me to trade him an ordenary troll for an insectoid with a trans-neon green chainsaw and black shoulder spikes! :alien: I guess that was pretty lucky!

In elementary school i found a awsome black ninga . luckily i didn't give it to the office so they can give it back to the owner ( that would have been a great waste) .

Well, on the common land next to my house I and my parents have found loads of old Lego minifigs, which my parents keep giving to me thinking they're mine, but they are definately from sets that I've never owned, I guess thats kinda lucky  !

I once found a Harry Potter figure in the playground, and another time a light saber hilt. :classic:

One time I found a BIG pile of Knights Kingdom game cards in a ditch near my house in perfect condition, I would say there was about 30-35. Another time I was doing a litter pickup with my Army Cadet Core and I found a couple of random bricks.

Recently at school(10th grade honors history to be exact) a classmate of mine was getting rid of his project, since he didn't want to take it home. The project happened to be made of legos. I offered to take them off his hands and I ended up with 1 large green baseplate, 2 tan medium sized baseplates, 2 green medium sized baseplates, several minifigs including ninja bodies and some useful heads, along with an assortment of random bricks. I consider myself lucky. :classic:

Yeah, it was the 2160 Crystal Scavenger in 1997. That's a pretty rare piece these days. I only have the one from that set.
