Thanks for the review. All the information I can get will help me decide which sets to buy when I'm in Canada this August.

Is it just me or does the Space Policeman have Dash's head? From the Arctic Alpha Team sets a few... (four :oh3: ... ) years ago?

Yeah :oh: it is Dash's head:wacko: I'm so confused now! Dash abandoned the alpha team to be a space cop :oh3: Now that's just... Weird!

This is on my list. That alien head would work really well with Star Wars, the flame is lovely, the second set to re-use the old motorbike base in 2008-2009, the new flick-fire holder thingies... I love it!

Wait a minute... Where is the Freeze ray?

Kranxx is must have, its looking too cute to be a cryminalist!

Acording to TRU.com the flick-fire missles freeze the criminals so the can take them back to galactic jail.

Yeah :oh: it is Dash's head:wacko: I'm so confused now! Dash abandoned the alpha team to be a space cop :oh3: Now that's just... Weird!

Actually there was also an MM astro with that head.

And secondly, here is a little head-swapping: Kranxx after a sex change, and bad-boy Ahsoka.

Wonderful review here  I really love all the new minifigs in this series, they are all very detailed and, yay, more printed legs  , the new fire piece is also intresting.

This may be Off-Topic, sorry if it is. But, have the new Indy sets appeared at TRU's yet, too?

EDIT: Thanks Maegnus, I agree 'bout the Joker thing.

I can tell you that I was at my local TRU (Gatineau, Quebec, Canada) and they had several Agents 2.0 sets, new Castle sets, and two Space Police sets (Gold Heist and Container heist, both of which I grabbed). No new Indy sets yet, though.

I am really happy with the new green dooku hair that came in one of the new Agents sets; it is much more appropriate for a comic/cartoon inspired Joker.

I am actually dissapointed in this set even though it was a good review. The other larger sets in the series look god but this one looks like a collection of parts and way to many stickers. I might have bought this set for the minifigs but I will probably save my money for the larger sets now.

Thanks for the review, Oky. This looks like a cool set, although I don't know why they would have stop signs in that era. The two speeders are really neat, and offer some alternative creativity to Star Wars. I am looking forward to all of these spectacular aliens in this line- a SW Canatina should be a snap with these.

Outstanding set, and great review. I'm picking this up as soon as it reaches the shores ( ) of Wisconsin.

I just finished building the Gold Heist and Space Truck Getaway ("Container Heist"), and let me tell you they are equally sticker intensive. I probably spent a good hour before the actual builds going through and carefully applying the stickers (using the exacto knife trick for added accuracy). This was definitely a pain, but they make for some excellent added details to some already detailed models. I did end up making a few very minor mods to the two ships (I used 8 or 10 white cheese slopes to make the Gold Heist vehicle considerably cleaner). Both sets definitely surpassed my expectations though. The Space Truck Getaway seems like a tough act to follow, but I know the Galactic Enforcer and Hyperspeed Pursuit are gonna kick some serious alien crook tail!

SP3 on!

I think the signs are a good idea, after all, if it ain't broke don't fix it!

How big a box is it? In comparison to a set that is already widely availiable? (aka, Star Wars Battlepack sized? or somesuch other sort) I need to make packing considerations to fit all these sets in my luggage on the way home!

I'd say it's about the same height and width of a SW BP, but it's a bit longer, about 1.5 times as long as the BPs. I can give you exact measurements when I get home if you want. :classic:

Btw, I too like the street signs. They add a little bit something extra to the set - something Gold Tooth's Getaway might have benefited of. :sceptic:

I agree, it's a brilliant detail that could have easily been left out. I like seeing LEGO add little creative touches like that.

Are you planning on doing any other reviews? I realize that somebody else is doing some, but multiple opinions can be good.

Where is the "freeze ray" as the set name suggest ?

:hmpf: As we already discussed on the last page, the freeze rays are supposed to be the flick-fire missiles on the cops bike.

Perhaps I should add that bit of info to the first post.

From SP3? No, not anytime soon. I'm not even sure if I will get any other SP3 sets, although Gold Heist and Hyperspeed Pursuit look rather tempting. :look:

It's generally agreed that those are the most promising sets from the theme.

The Galactic Enforcer actually looks like the best one to me from the early pictures. I think it has the most "classic" look and feel of any of the sets.

The Hyperspeed Pursuit has a great SP ship, but I don't think any of the villian ships are as good as the SP ones.

I would tend to agree, but I really like Container Heist.

I rated above average. Even if this isn't one of those sets that you say "Wow, This is amazing" Lego put some cool details in anyway. Oky this has nothing to do with your review it was amazing even if the set was crappy (which I don't think it is  )

i remember that when i was little, i used to have a toy robot-cop that would light up, walk around, wave a sword, shield and gun around and say "stop! i am the law!" like in your funny picture. i have no idea where the phrase came from. when that thing got old, it would randomly start lighting up, walking around, waving its sword, shield and gun around and saying "stop! i am the law!" and it would freak me out because it was so unexpected and i was 5.

ok! back on topic!

i was going to pass up this set, but that alien is really cool. i also like the new fire piece and the flick-fire missle holder(flick-fire missles are still not too good though) the speeders have an interesting design. it is better than i originally thought.

thanks for the review!

hyperspeed pursuit is still my favorite sp3 set and i cant wait for it to come out!

It's from Judge Dredd. Fun movie.

I really like this set. Compare it with small space sets of the past, and the level of detail/clever design is incredible. The bikes may not look like much, but they're both pretty awesome, especially for an official set.

Kranxx's head mold, in particular, is spectacular--the way that it's based off of a regular minifig head is a nice touch. It manages to look very alien while still keeping some of the "LEGO" feel that the other LEGO alien head molds (Star Wars, Life on Mars, Mars Mission) lost.
