Corvus Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 All right, I'll definitely be going. The only concern is whether or not I can miss a day of school to be there Friday. Quote
LLF Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I'm going, but I won't have any MOCs to show. Quote
penguinz Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I am going to BrickCon '09 too! However I am just going on one of the public viewing days. So, no MOC's to show. Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I'll be there! However, the earliest I could leave Chicago was Friday afternoon, so I won't be arriving until Friday evening, most likely right in the middle of the opening ceremony! Still, that gives me two full days of BrickCon fun, as well as contributing a bunch of figs to the Castle display! I've also developed another convention-exclusive fig for the show. I'll post a card up here soon! Quote

I'm also guessing all the new custom minifigures will be sold out by the time the public covention starts, eh? Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Well, me and my family are heading out tomorrow. Spend the night in Boise, then get up and head towards Seattle. Make a few stops(Hopefully the LEGO Store so I can pick up an Emereald Night. ), then I would expect the next day would be the convention. Quote
tedbeard Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Don't go to the LEGO store before the Con! They usually have an attendees discount and the Friday night sale event usually has lots of exclusive goodies. Just trying to make sure you get the best deals. Quote

They usually have an attendees discount and the Friday night sale event usually has lots of exclusive goodies. Does that include unregistered attendees? And cool, so I should be there around Friday evening? Just trying to make sure you get the best deals. Thanks, tedbeard! Quote

A big one. I'll be there Friday- I might miss a bit on Sunday, but I intend to see as much as I can. Quote
Davey Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Sorry everyone. Looks like Stacy and I are going to miss Brickcon this year. We had a couple unexpected expenses come up the past couple months that ate up our Brickcon budget. We're planning for 2010 though for sure! Have fun everyone and take lots of pictures for us! -Dave Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Well, BrickCon looked like a major success! By the time I was there to the time I left, all the way down Mercer was stacked with people lining up to buy tickets! I caught tedbeard at Dick's with his son, and managed to catch David for a few seconds, and those were the only two I officially met, but hey, I got to enjoy a lot of wonderful MOCs! Sadly, not many pictures... But my favorite would have to be that giant praying mantis made out of Mars Mission alien ship parts! I scored a lot of loot at the LEGO store, as well. An Emerald Night(), a pack of three "make-your-own-minifigs", two with the new curved red baseball cap, and I got a small PAB cup for parts that should be in my The Lost World Fleetwood RV, pictures soon. I also scored an exclusive Shock Trooper BrickArms figure, and a special Zombie Hunter/Sniper by Thrash. So many new weapons! The Carbine is excellent! And, one of my personal favorites, 6354 Pursuit Squad in excellent condition for $20. I also managed to get a BrickCon '09 long sleeve, and a dark green "Got Bricks?" t-shirt. Pictures soon! Quote
