Anyone else having this problem?

I have AVG Anti-Virus and it has detected like 6-8 Trojan Horses and Ad-Aware, Now my computer hasnt been acting up since the last few days when I get loads of Blue screens of death. Now they are removed, Each time I scan, I get say another 1-2! Is it even possible to be infected this many times, and my computer doesnt act up?

Just a question.

You should clean up your register.

Get the filenames of the infected stuff.

Then go to start menu and choose run

Now type in regedit

Then the register editer is started.

Now search for those filenames and delete their codes.

Hope that helps.

No what you should do is get a real anti virus, AVG dropped the ball along time ago, get avast or nod32.

Or if you insist, what does it say the virus is, have you googled for the virus.

If avg has HEUR at the end, it means its using heuristics, which means its using info to guess for viruses, and mostly a false positive.

Its most likely a root kit and avg cant remove it.

Also where is it, if its in system restore then the only there is only one way to remove them, you must turn off system restore.

Go into virus vault, find exactly where its located, and upload the file here, it will scan and give you the results from an online scan of about 40 different scanners.

turn avg off, and any firewalls, and proxys.

Im guessing its fixed as he hasnt bothered to say anything more on the matter, even to say thanks for the help.

One will often get back less then he gives, but silence is agreeing to something so we should feel good we solved somebodies problem, more even then being rewarded for it.
