Erdbeereis Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I'm flying to Germany on Wednesday, So I thought I'd build something to get in the traveling mood. "Caution, moving walkway is nearing its end. Please watch your step, thank you." Thanks! Quote
DoctorDude234 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Does it move? If it does, I could see a large airport in the future... Quote
Erdbeereis Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 Unfortunately no, but I'm sure it could be done. Quote
prateek Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I love those things, except when they are the talking ones that say "mind your step" every other second. Good use of the track pieces though. Good job Quote
BlueBard Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) Simply brilliant! I really like how you used those black chains Edited May 11, 2009 by BlueBard Quote
Erdbeereis Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 Thanks a lot guys! I enjoyed making it. Quote
WhiteFang Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Erdy, superb nice creation. It is reminding me, to get myself a holiday. As I am pretty familar with aiports setup, I am pleased to know that you have gotten this right, with your combination. It's smart to see this travelator being deployed in a MOC like this. The way you position your minifigs do give others a feel that it's moving. See you soon. Quote
Zepher Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 When I saw it in your sig I really loved it, and in bigger pictures it looks very impreesive. No real wow techiniques, but the thing simple doesn't need them. It looks incredibly like it's real-life counterpart! I love the glas work especailly, and the raillings are well done! Great job! Bartram Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Amazing work! I've seen many of these track bits around on MOC's, what set are they from? Also love how you've made the glass around the sides. ;) Quote

They have some really nice uses, for example you can connect a few and put plates or tiles on top to get a rounded shape. Quote
brickfreak99 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 That's excellent! It would be cooler if you could make it move... Quote

I didn't actually take a look at those pieces before but they seem to have intresting uses I really like this MOC in all its simplicity! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 That's excellent! It would be cooler if you could make it move... Thanks. I would like to make it move, but I think it would have to be bulked up a lot in order to do so and it might look a bit odd then. EDIT: Actually, let me clarify. The track can slide along as it is on tiles, but the track doesn't loop around so it just falls off eventually. If you were to build it larger you could probably make a longer track and have it loop under I think... Quote
