prateek Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 personally, i havent, but my little cousins smash my mocs sometimes. Quote
daxflame680 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Kind of, it wasn't an 'accident'. When I finished building my7674 V-19 Torrent, I was upset that the gears weren't working [my fault ], and.... I threw it against the wall. I dunno if that's 'dropping' it though Quote
DoctorDude234 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I have once. I had a MM mobile base, carried it with one hand, the other holding a box, and dropped it. It was quick to rebuild though. And I think I have dropped the occasional box. Quote
Galaxy Explorer Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I dropped my UCS Blockade Runner in my front yard about seven years ago. I was going to say that words couldn't describe how mad I was, but I said plenty of words that day. Luckily all those white pieces were pretty easy to find, and I actually found every one of them. Happy ending! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 A few months ago I was pulling down a 40-50 lb container of unsorted mixed lego from the rafters in the garage. It wasn't in a rubber maid bin it was some other cheap target brand (110 oz.) and I lost my grip while on the ladder. The bin actually exploded into tiny shards. My only luck came in that I had just cleaned and swept the garage the day before. It took me an entire afternoon to clean the mess and transfer into a new bin. I still find little pieces of exploded bin shards mixed in with those bricks. That really sucked! Quote
kill will Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I've only dropped one thing that I can remember, my Geonosian Starfighter as I was carrying it upstairs. Though I have stepped on a few things, as my Lego is all on my floor. (And the rest of my family has destroyed 100+ creations, jst can't watch their step) Quote
Da Death Star! Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Well,I once dropped my CW RGS swooshing(Not in the nude ).Except it was more like the bottom half fell off and I was left holding the upper neck and the wings(Since then I have discovered a much better way to hold it). (_)DDS(_) Quote
Legoking Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Ok, now no one can beat this. Last year I bought the old AT-AT, 4483. I was carrying it up the stairs and my Christmas tree was up. As I was walking up the stairs, the head falls off. Now pieces from the head landed on the stairs, the floor, and guess what, even in the Christmas tree. Luckily I was able to find every piece after getting my moms help. Another time, when I had first finished Hydro Crystallisation Station, 6199, I dropped it. I think I had to basically rebuild it. Quote
Ricecracker Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I don't know if this counts, but whenever I'm building a MOC and am working on a small intricate component, I drop it. Many times. Luckily my build area of about 3x3' is surrounded by bins of sorted Lego, though I still need to rebuild the component. Quote
JCC1004 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) I only had two. UCS Grevious and the 2006 Imperial shuttle. They were fixed in a few minutes. UCS Grevious barely had any, strange. I quess I was lucky. Part of Temple Escape fell as well. Confused the crap out of me and had to pull out the manual. I was with my (very) youger brother and he built the Imperial star destroyer and it fell on the kitchen floor. I did help. Edit: I had my accesories in a tray and it has magicly fallen of the end of a table. Some how I found them all. Steped on a few black things though. The one that I never got fixed was my turbo tank. It was under a table in pieces. I therw them in a bag and used the pieces for mocs. I'll always reget super gluing some pieces on it and tearing it apart. All I have left is a piece that didn't find it's way into the bag. One of the head walls. I have it toger in a place of honor.( aka in a storage container) Edited May 17, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote
Commander_Blitz Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I just built my new Seperatist Spider Droid today. I was carrying it proudly upstairs to place it in my room with my other Seperatist sets when BAM! I tripped at the top of the stairs and dropped it. It bounced at least fifteen times, and I still haven't found Commander Fox Quote

Talon Karrde Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I haven't dropped any MOC's that I remember, but while I was building this starfighter, I applied too much pressure and it literally imploded I wept. Quote

Commander_Blitz Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 The good news is that I found him safely nestled in between some books at the bottom of the staircase and he's now safely leading my Republic troopers to victory! (Albeit with a slightly scratched helmet, but hey, watcha gonna do?) Quote
wednesdayware Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 My son accidentally knocked over a mosaic I was working on, a fairly large one... here's the damage. (Mostly from the back, and I was able to put it all back together.) This was the blog entry I did this topic Brickwares Blog Quote
Spyder Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 My little cousin loves to play with Lego, and owns a ton, although within the first week he has it, it's all spare pieces on the floor. Whenever he comes over, he always annoys me, asking to play with my Lego. (he's only 5) So usually I'll give him a limited amount of pieces and see what he can come up with. (sometimes he actually builds some pretty cool stuff) However, a couple times, I let him play with an assembled Lego set under close supervision. He then wants me to play a Lego war with him. Only 5 seconds into it, he smashes his ship with mine, sending pieces everywhere, then pretends to make a crash landing right in to the floor, destroying the ship. I have been careful since it happened at first, but sometimes it happens accidentally. it's not too hard to assemble my sets, although whenever I come to his house, I'm constantly fixing his Lego sets because I am a perfectionist. That's why everything I've typed so far is perfectly correct grammar. (I hope! ) So i guess I personally haven't dropped any thing, although I dread the day when I do, as I have just jinxed myself! just2good Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) I don't think it counts, but my little cousin loves LEGOs, and he accidently knocked down my my Shell Select Shop! (http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1254-1) I've never built it after that, because I use the baseplate. Edited May 28, 2009 by just2good Quote
astra Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 My daughter (1 1/2) really likes my recently acquired Death Star. However, a couple of days ago she tipped it over... Since it is round allover the only thing I had to do is replace a couple of minifigs and rebuild the large dish... Quote
ProducePrincess Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) I made a massive techtovian star bomber a few months ago , it had a really good cockpit , dropping bombs , and a minibar! Sadly i dropped it about 3 times and lost about 50 pieces , all lost forever well lets just say that ship wasn't very swooshable . the wings kept falling off and the bottom of the snot made cockpit fell of a dozen times too. Then i finished my rabbitech scout trike and while rolling it on the counter it crashed and fell over on to the floor .I had to lay on my stomach looking under the oven trying to find pieces for that one. Wait a minute all of these happend in the kitchen! Edited May 29, 2009 by Black Rabbit Quote
Dfenz Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Well,I once dropped my CW RGS swooshing(Not in the nude ).Except it was more like the bottom half fell off and I was left holding the upper neck and the wings(Since then I have discovered a much better way to hold it).(_)DDS(_) One of my CW RGS suffered the same fate a few weeks back. The wing clipped the corner of a table where other sets were sitting and ... well lets just say I'd a simulated crash landing from about two feet off the ground. I was briefly left holding the wings and top section before that imploded in a hail of bricks. Fortunately the super structure of the base of the ship withstood the impact very well and once the search parties had recovered the missing parts it was rebuilt and put back into service. Can't afford slackers in the Dfenz republic fleet. David Quote
tinius Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I builded the clone wars republic attack gunship and accidentaly grabed the cockpit of theship......then the rest of the ship was in pieces My clone turbotank and the arc fighter was also crashed. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I haven't dropped any of my creations as of yet, but I do have one unfortunate accident that occurred a few years ago. I had set up #8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress on my bedroom floor and my (then) infant sister crawled on it, smashing a large portion of it to bits. Quote
Lord Admiral Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Yeah, this kind of stuff happens to me a lot. If it isn't me dropping it personally because I have butterfingers, there's always somebody else nice enough to come along and knock it onto the floor in passing or whatnot. To be honest, until the model gets integrated into a diorama in a display somewhere, it's never a dull moment. And even then, taking models out for cleaning or rearrangement means reintroducing them to the many dangers of the open space. The better-built sets come out mostly intact, depending on their orientation when landing. Most vehicles make it out with nary a scratch or dent. But more detailed models with lots of fluff tend to lose extremeties. The really fragile sets have a tendency to explode all over the floor, which really upsets me. Quote
