Darth Legolas Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) A-tree on brickshelf, apologies if you were about to post this here yourself, but I love this MOC! Don't just look at the first picture people look at all of the amazing aspects here! Congratulations A-tree, you did a great job! More pictures: here! Did I put this in the right place? Legoman31 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) Ah yes, this is the work of the great and awesome Nannan Zhang. It was part of a contest between Nannan and Andrew Lee. They had to create a MOC using 8 of these. Andrew creation can be found here. Quit an awesome MOC if I say so myself. Edited May 7, 2009 by Legoman31 Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Yeah it is an awesome piece of work indeed, but his competitor did a great job as well. I'm curious to the outcome! Quote
-JD- Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 That is amazing! I love the little green house. For a second I thought you meant the Superman Fortress of Solitude. Greetings, JD Quote
Batbrick Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Amazing indeed! There is simply too much awesome to comment on, but my favourite part is the awesomesauce ship firing a beam right throuh the awesomesauce robot! Batbrick Away! Quote
DoctorDude234 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Awesome!! I like the use of the MM martian containers as power tubes. They are in the circlular satellite dish holder. And, could someone tell me the point of the huge red robot? That is huge. I enjoy all the little details, such as the green house. Quote
Guss Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Oh... my ... god , I just can't say anything , that's too big, too amazing, too too ! one of the best space diorama I've ever seen! Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I can't really add anything other than what everyone else has said. This is simply an amazing piece of work. Can someone post a picture of his competitor's MOC? Quote
ILikePi Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I can't really add anything other than what everyone else has said. This is simply an amazing piece of work. Can someone post a picture of his competitor's MOC? Here's the TBB page: http://www.brothers-brick.com/2009/05/03/brick-throwdown/ And here's some pictures of the other guy's creations: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wintermute260...57617446921399/ They both look amazing. Darth Legolas Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 I know this is a little late in the topic, but after looking through the Solaris 8 pictures and the TBB article, who won? Quote
SlyOwl Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Fantastic MOC, to be sure, and a good use of those baseplates! So mayn pretty trans colours - my favourite sort candy It's a pity droid arms don't come in trans orange, to complete the loops in this pic. I know this is a little late in the topic, but after looking through the Solaris 8 pictures and the TBB article, who won? Don't ask. It ended up with the judges declaring neither won, and it's best to leave it at that. Quote
Milan Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Wow, just look at the details on this MOC! Fantastic, and definitely very time consuming work, but the final result is beautiful! Quote
user Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Nannan does have a Eurobricks account and he's the creator of this I wonder why he didn't post it here. Quote
