MaxGoof Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Despite registering a few months ago, and making a post here and there, I realize I never introduced myself. So, I suppose I will now... I'm a 26-year-old collector in upstate NY. By collector, I mean, of like, everything cool. Comic books, video games, action figures, statues, anime, mini-busts, Pokémon... the works. My wife and I bought an XBox and got LEGO Indiana Jones included with it, and to my wife's dismay, I developed an obsession for needing LEGO sets. I held out for a while, but the Black Friday sales made me give in and pick up the Imperial Star Destroyer and MTT. A coupon from Toys R Us netted me the Batman vs. Joker Tumbler set at retail a couple weeks before it became ridiculous on ebay, and I picked up the Robin vs. Penguin set off Bricklink. The Temple Escape from Indy was my first official LEGO gift, which I received along with LEGO Batman the video game at Christmas. My favorite themes are LEGO Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I expect to be enchanted by the Toy Story and Cars sets when they're released as well... So yeah, I'm an addict. May God have mercy on my poor wife's soul... Quote
Alice Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Welcome to the dark side! I am in love with an Adult fan of lego and discovered my inner lego loving self after we were an item . If you are crafty, you can encourage the AFOL part of your wife to blossom. Good luck! Quote
Dadster Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Maxgoof - glad to hear you're interested in games, comics, etc, etc as well as Lego. I'm down in Orange County myself. Thanks for the intro and welcome!! Quote

Stash2Sixx Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Welcome! I tried collecting a few different things before, but it just became to expensive. Now I only get LEGO, which is too expensive in the long run, but I wplan to never give it up! Have fun! Quote
