This is not a topic to post why you despise consoles, but to say why you like them. I am a Wii fan because there is more to their games the mashing buttons. I've heard the Wii gets boring after the gimmick of waving your hands around, but if i'd have to choose its probably be the Xbox360, for a Good Price, good selection of games and most of the problems have been fixed (i.e RROD) Quote

I was originally set on getting a 360, but I want FFXIII and Versus, and it is my understanding that the PS3 versions of those games will be superior to the 360 versions. But on the other hand, 360 has a better selection of games overall. Decisions, decisions... Quote

I personally prefer the Xbox 360 from those choices due to it's new lower price. Compared to the PS3 price wise the 360 is a lot cheaper and doesn't miss out too much. I really like the 360's concaving white sides too as well as the chunky controllers which give an excellent grip. The PS3 IMO is a bit of a waste of money with not much difference to the 360. It's somewhat ugly casing and clunky, narrow controllers gives it a thumbsdown from me. On an upside some of the exclusive games such as Resistance do make it a little better, only to be rivalled by Microsoft's Halo trilogy. Now on to the Wii . I have played on one a couple of times on a variety of games and I must say my gaming experience wasn't very satisfactory. Maybe I don't like the whole moving around thing but it just wasn't the console for me. On a final note I prefer my custom Hard Core gaming PC ! Edited May 3, 2009 by Skipper 24 Quote

Dont you have to pay extra for hd for the 360, which has lots of problems. Quote

If you really wanted to try out these consoles you could pop down to your local Toys 'r' Us (or similar toy store) and have a crack at them. Alternatively Legoland Windsor has a gaming centre loaded with Xbox's (only Lego games though). Not sure about other Legolands though. Quote

IMO, The PS3 may have better graphics, but Resistance and Motor Storm are the only games exclusive to that console worth getting. The Wii has the "exercise" and compatibility with previous consoles plus and some fun games, but the novelty wears off after a while. The 360 IMO is the best, for sheer volume of games. As well, the "Platinum Hits" series games work on both Xbox and 360. Now that the kinks have been worked out, we see a decent console with excellent graphics at an affordable price. My choice? The 360. It is, without a doubt, one of the best purchases I've made. That and the SNES. Quote

Mraz Skintas Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I have them all, but my good 'ol 360 always wins. Greatest exclusive IMO (Halo, Gears), and it has great graphics. The PS3 I bought mainly for Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of destruction, but other than that, I don't use it much. The Blue Ray player is a nice addition as well however. And the Wii, not my favorite by far. A few good games (SSB Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Cart Wii, and Super Mario Galaxy. The main reasons I have to not liking it as much is the controller swinging, and the fact that you need a Gamecube memory card in order to save GC games. So I can't play Sunshine, Melee, or any of my other GC games til I get one. A problem the PS3 and 360 dont have. Quote

5150 Lego Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 360 for me. I preffer racing games, and 360 has a far better selectrion than either the Wii or PS3. I also preffer the 360 controller as well. As for graffics, you can have the best consoleon the market, but the graffics are only going to be as good as your TV. SO if your still sporting a 10yr old projection TV, it won't matterif you have a PS3, 360, or Sega Genises. (that console rocked!), your going to have the same graffics. Quote

Apparently not, because as it was over 12 months old (got it 3 weeks after it was realeased in the UK), then i had to pay £145 to replace it, and i had battlefront 2 in there , and i wont get battlefront 2 back for about 6 weeks. Oh well 2 days left of no gaming! Quote
