Perterz Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 After a first concept MOC of a treehouse for my eventual diorama I completed another one, a waterfall this time. Some of you might remember the first wip pictures of the diorama featuring a fall, people recommended the use of transparant plates but didn't have any. Meanwhile a crapload of transparant plates are in my possesion and I experimented with them. This MOC is the result, a small natural diorama. I've added some minifigs to complete it, the starving peasant is lucky to come across this little party in the middle of the jungle and profits some fish and water to drink :) Brickshelf Gallery I hope you'll like it, any input is appreciated! Cheers, kevin. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Lovely MOC Perterz. The rocks, plants and water are all beautiful. Your waterfall is also excellent, it reminds me of the waterfall I made once for a Japanese Garden MOC: I really enjoyed seeing this, keep up the great work! Quote
Guss Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 really nice little scene^^ I like the waterfall/plant area too ! nice job! Quote
Perterz Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Thanks for your kind words. That's a great fall Erdbeereis, seems like this technique is common used, are the transparent plates on teh lower part build on a blue plate? Sidenote: I've added the link to the Brickshelf gallery in the first post ^^ Edited May 2, 2009 by Perterz Quote

WhiteFang Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 This is a very nice waterfall, by the forest. I enjoyed viewing these kind of landscaping, which makes me staring at it with a peaceful mind. Somehow, I feel that this portion of your moc is the beginning of something larger. Quote
ChrisVA Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Great waterfall. I especially like how you showed the foam and sense of movement in the stream by mixing the different blues and white. Quote
NewRight Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I love the way the waterfall is positioned on a corner. It makes it look especially well done. Quote
Bartram Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Your diorama is excellent! You've used the space especially well and the water looks amazing! Quote
Dwarfinator Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I like it. Very good detail on the waterfall and water. Quote

Somehow, I feel that this portion of your moc is the beginning of something larger. I'm glad it has the same effect on you as it has on myself I really enjoy making landscapes since all I see here outside are houses and roads, roads, roads It is actually the beginning of a large® diorama I'm working on for almost 2 months now, a week ago I restarted again and now I'm getting happy with the way it's evolving. I need to cut down on the flora around the buildings or there will be no more room for the buildings themselves. I'm limited in space tho there's a bit more space left to enlarge the diorama a bit more, in the end I probably end up with twice the size than planned. It's a good thing to know yourself Thanks a lot for the comments! Quote
