Mr. Lego-builder Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Looking at the new rescue chopper, it doesn't look nearly as good as the prototype... It's wider, shorter, and less streamlined... :/ |-/ Quote
Hobbes Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 It's wider, shorter, and less streamlined... :/ |-/ Like a real one. The construction worker on the stretcher perplexes me, though. It's weird... We've seen some arguable decisions from TLG, but putting a minifig in a set that doesn't fit is just... strange... makes me wonder if those sets really are the upcoming sets or just some "rejections"... yoda601 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 What is the construction worker doing out at sea? :o Here is the pictureSeriously though, I'm dissapointed that the civilian minifig was replaced by a construction worker. :'( That's... That's disgusting! *sick* Quote

That's disgusting! *sick* well... it's probably cheaper that way... for the company that is... Quote
sam89 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Here's two more sets and piece counts: Hospital Highway Haulers (Designer set) Quote
kotua Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 That's... That's disgusting! *sick* well... it's probably cheaper that way... for the company that is... I think printed minifig torsos were more expensive...oh well... Quote
Beagle Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 What is the construction worker doing out at sea? :o Here is the picture Maybe he was working at an offshore oil rig and fell in. :D Quote

The Middleman Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Maybe he was working at an offshore oil rig and fell in. :D That rig would be a nice set idea... Give them a chance to do a decent metal-style barrel. Great idea Hobbes. Quote

I think printed minifig torsos were more expensive...oh well... that's true, but they're already in production, perhaps they're even using left overs from the construction theme... in any case, i don't see why this is such a big deal, construction guy or city bloke... why do you guys care so much about this? Quote
Hobbes Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 in any case, i don't see why this is such a big deal, construction guy or city bloke... why do you guys care so much about this? It's not. It's probably the same deal as with the containers of the TTX rail car. In order to bring it out they had to compromise on the containers. Maybe it's the same here with the guy on the stretcher. The containers didn't look that bad, but the construction worker just looks wrong. Anyhoo, it's not a set I'm going to buy, so I quit complaining ;) Quote
kotua Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 in any case, i don't see why this is such a big deal, construction guy or city bloke... why do you guys care so much about this? I care...how about adding the minifig with the surf torso? and give him surfing stuff, like that old rescue helicopter.... Although this new helicopter at least has a minifig being rescued, I would have preffered a civilian minifig...or at least a female minifig... Don't you find it odd that the city sets haven't featured female minifigs(Except for the Community Workers set and Trains subtheme.)? Quote
