Righteous Squid Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Batman (even if Star Wars were included). Great renditions of favorite villains. Nice selection of Batman costumes. Nice sets (with only a couple of exceptions) useful for MODing or MOCing. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the Batman line. Indy is my second fave - firstly because it introduced the fedora (TLC should have done that for Batman anyway). Secondly because this years line up has a ton of figures and pieces useful for expanding Gotham. I kind of regard it as a heavily disguised Batman line. Quote
Matn Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Harry Potter! Because the theme was awesome. It brought us so many usable and new, great pieces which can be used in several other themes (Town, ..., but especially the Castle fans use the theme as a source for parts). And don't forget the great minifigures, instant recognasible and with great accesoiries and outfits. Second in the run is Indiana Jones, the theme has nice sets and just as LEGO Harry Potter the figures are great. Quote
JCC1004 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Indiana Jones for the win! I've always loved the movies, and sets based on some of their most iconic scenes were always going to go down a hit with me. Same here. Love the moives. Most figures are good and moive accrate. Nice vehicles and temples. Cool artifacts. I used to be a die hard SW fan. Since Lego Indy came out, I'm out of touch with SW. Clones were my favorite character. Quote
ChrisVA Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Indiana Jones. I was a big fan of the adventurers line. There are clearly a lot of similarites between the two. I like all the minifgures and historical themed items. German soldiers was great. I also like the parts in the sets alot. Tons of tans, greys, and browns. Quote
Justin Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I liked the SpongeBob SquarePants sets, because they are based on one of my favorite TV shows, and because it introduced a lot of unique pieces in different colors, even though some of these sets have varying amounts of playability. Three of my favorites are: 3834 - Good Neighbors in Bikini Bottom, 3830 - Bikini Bottom Express, and 3830 - the Rocket Ride. I also like the cartoony feel of the LEGO SpongeBob sets. Quote
MrCustomizer Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Of course, if Lego released a Doctor Who theme, then the above post would be different... Agreed, Except I think it is a tie between Indy and Harry Potter. Indy is waaaaaay better, but Harry Potter was won a soft spot in my heart. And I want them to bring it back... Quote
legoindy01 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I also have a soft spot for harry potter, but the adventurers line really got me into lego, but for a while I had almost completely stoped building lego at all , But Indy is really what got me back into it! IG88 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Well HP sets are really incredible to me and I'm really desapointed it's over now... Quote
HumanPackMule Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 The Indy sets are by far better than the other licensed theme (HP was good at the beginning). The set designs are very well done and they offer a wide variety of designs. Quote
alex12 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I think Indy is the best. Great sets Awesome minifigs. Long may it continue. Quote
