yup. That's pretty much my reaction, too. Though I might still take a shot at making my own fabrication machine, now. But shuold I use system or Technic?

Both, depending on what's necessary.

Do you think he talks? After having seen almost half the movie thanks to the clips, we have not heard him say anything yet, only grunt. That would kinda suck because then 1, 2, 5, 7, and 9 are the only ones who really talk in the whole movie, and

2 dies in the beginning, and 5 dies halfway through.

:sceptic:

Really cool pics btw, Bfahome! I wish that augmented reality stuff would work for me, but the stupid software chooses my TV card as the source device instead of my webcam. :hmpf_bad: Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: Yet another new clip.

Looks like 8 does talk - a little. But he is quite a moron. 6 is as cute as expected. And he seems to be slightly more talkative than 8.

That was amazing. I like that 8 can speak- he seems more like an evil henchman that way. And I like how 9 nearly goes off on 1.

"You don't send the oldest out to... nevermind..."

And nice to finally hear 6.

Hehe. Nice quoting of the trailer. And nice to finally see an actual cross section.

Congrats, Vertea! :sweet:

I'm seeing it on Friday because my mom and sis want to see it together with me. :sceptic: Oh well, it'll be fun, I hope. This doesn't exactly sound like their type of movie, but we'll see.

I saw it and it was great but the ending was pretty hokey but was cool at the same time a very good move! I'd give it a 9/10!

The ending was anything but hokey! It was pretty much

an adapted version of the end of the short.

Saw it earlier today. Really great film. I really enjoyed it, but the scenes where

9 and 7 start faling for each other seem kinda tacked-on

, but I shouldn't be a critic. The animation was really good, and I thought the story was pretty good too. All in all, Shane Acker seems like a really good director.

I just wish 5 wouldn't have died, though. He was one of my favorites. Along with 6. :/ I thought that 5 was gonna be the only one left besides 9 becuase I thought this was gonna be a prequel to the short, but that didn't really end up happening . . .

Yeah, but at least they incorporated parts from the short- like the scene where 2 and 9 are attacked by the cat beast. Totally like the 9 and 5 scene in the short. Then there was the lightbulb part, and the part where Catskull knocks 9 off of the wooden plank(sort of revenge for the short, IMO) and lastly there was the scene at the end that was VERY much like the short, only with all of the characters designed.

Just saw it too. Very good animation and direction. I'm looking forward to more work from Acker. I liked all the references to the shortfilm, and

8 getting high using a magnet was hilarious!

 For one who has seen the short and maybe some of the clips from the movie, there aren't many surprises, but it's still a very enjoyable movie.

Saw it on Sunday, Spoilering my review.

I thought it was a really short movie that didn't live up to its hype. Yes, there was viral marketing, which explained the backstory and all, but just in the movie, there wasn't a lot of it. It was a vague story in general. The atmosphere was great though, I liked all the scenery and overall feel of the world. With such a short movie, there wasn't much character development or explanation. The characters all seemed very linear. With so many characters, it was hard to get more than a small grasp of their personality in such a short time period sadly. The action scenes were pretty great. The first scream as the Cat-monster dug in the pipe made me jump. Ending was okay, although slightly ambiguous on if they were souls or microbes where life would start anew. =/ It was entertaining as a movie though, and kept my attention. The little parts were great, especially with 8 and the magnet. Animation was smooth and great, I liked all the references to the original; it did seem more of an extension to the action of the short film. All the creations were creepy and slightly steampunky in a sense.

That's pretty much all I can say. I'd go watch it if I haven't

Well, the movie has nine main characters! What did you expect? Besides, most characters didn't have much of a personality aside from a single trait anyway because they don't talk much, like 3, 4, 6, and 8.

And it's stitchpunk, not steampunk.

Kitty is not amused.

Also I saw it and liked it.

6 shouldn't have died. ;_;

The four surviving stitchpunks are totally representative of a family. Seriously.

References to the short were abundant and well done.

Poor Fabrication Machine. It's not his fault. :(

I know, right? When they took it away from the scientist, and the Fabrication machine tried to keep him there. That choked me up. Then you could see how batshit scared it was when it was forced into the cage.
