For those of you who are interested in storing your minifigs, or a small case for small parts, you should get to Target IMMEDIATELY! In their dollar section they have a small clear organizer for sale.

Specs:

-Approximately 5"x3"x1"

-Is divided into 6 compartments.

-Each compartment is a bit wider than a minifig

-2 compartments are the same length as a cap wearing minifig, 3 are about one brick longer, and one is about 3 bricks longer

-A Fedora wearing minifig fits in fine (height-wise) with just a touch of room.

-Clear plastic with hinged lid

-$1

Target's Dollar section selection changes fast, so if you want one (or 20), you should get there soon!

I'll have to check it out on Sunday; never seen this dollar section before at my Target, what is yours near Eilif? I'm assuming most of the Targets are laid out in a similar fashion though I could be wrong.

I don't even think my Target has a $1 section, and besides, all of my minifigs that aren't bagged up to be used or changed are on display on my wall of star wars. I got the cabinet at Ikea, and each box is big enough for a whole AT-TE to fit in. So, I have set-ups in each box.

Though I like Target, they had a vast selection of Lego, had all of the Mini Star Wars exclusives (V-19 and Grievous's Starfighter,) and when i was looking for a large number of Soldiers Arsenals to build up my Imperials and backpacks, they went into the backroom, and pulled me out a whole box full of them.

But anyways, thanks for the info!

Update, I found the shrink wrap it came in. You can probably call your local target and see if they have it in. It's called "Divided Container" and the the SKU numbers are:

top number- 234221712 Bottom number- 810655019162

I think that all the targets around me have the dollar section at the front of the store to the side of the register area. It may be worthwhile to ask the employees though.

My camera phone is acting up. If no one else gets one, I'll try and snap a picture when I get my real camera back on monday.

Yeah, I probably won't be using these for figures either. All of my figures are on baseplates on racks. I will probably pick up a couple for small sortings, but I mostly posted this because I figured some folks here might find them usefull.

I just checked, and my local Target had no such organizer in the $1 section :sadnew:. Oh well, maybe later?

Let's hope so. Maybe calling to see if they have ever carried the item. If they did previously, it's probably gone, if they haven't yet, it might be on the way.

5x3 is TINY! I think you would be better off going to some cheap store, on the East Coast there is Ocean State Job Lot and Big Lots and you most liekly can get a much bigger container for only a little more.

It's definitely tiny, and my preference is for larger cases, but if you're looking to safely store your minifigs individually, I've not ever seen any case that is so well fitted for minifigs. Most larger cases are a good deal taller, and if storing minifigs individually, that's alot of wasted space. You might pay a bit more overall to store an entire figure collection, but it will take up alot less space and be much more organized than using larger less efficient containers.

That's true, I have one, it was free, and I keep Jedi Luke, Darth Vador and Emperor from that minifigure set from 2000.

Can someone who has one please post a pic? I am considering whether to get this or not, and need a reference for when I go shopping at Target!

Sorry, no picture yet. However, bring in the sku numbers that I posted earlier. Then they will be able to tell you if they have it, had it, or have it in the back.

I picked these up a couple days back and finally got around to taking pics. I like these quite a bit since you can store the minifigs and their accesories(exemplified by the blasters)

So without further ado a few pics.

And a pic of the empty case.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting these pics! It does a great job of showing how usefull they are.

The only thing I would add is that the top compartments will fit a minifig with a low profile headgear like a baseball cap, classic hair, or no hair at all.

No problem Eilif!

Yeah a Young Boba or Yoda can also fit in those compartments (couldn't find Boba's hair so I stuck to blasters)
