Hmm and interesting read, basically another SW game coming for PS3 360.

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/23/rumor-co...o-xbox-360-ps3/

Not sure what to make of this, on the one hand the wii got TFU and a clone wars game last year, so makes sense a CW game would be made for the PS3 and 360.

On the other hand, this is now the third rumoured SW game for the PS3, the other two being Battlefront 3, and Knights of the old republic.

In the post they mention Krome Studio's most famous as formerly Melbourne House (the Aussie) company that gave us KKND series, which i hope they can do a good job, they did well with force powers in TFU, but if you played the PS3 version made by LA, the PS2 and PSP version done by Krome were noticeably lacking in game play, especially control wise.

Would be sweet if they include TFU style game play.

1.It's called "The Old Republic"not KOTOR,and it's been confirmed to be released

2.Grrr,not another game for only 2 systems!

But it sounds like a good game,too bad I don't have a 360 or a PS3.

From what I have seen of the first Clone Wars game from them as well as playing TFU on the Wii, I am not too excited. First of all, the game sounds entirely unoriginal. A Jedi game where you can play co-op and use force powers. Sounds like every other Jedi game out there. The only thing that will be nice is that it will be for PS3 and the 360, which means better graphics than there previous games.

Oh, and actually it is not called KOTOR. The game has been confirmed as just Star Wars: The Old Republic and will be a MMORPG and is set a few hundred years either before or after (can't remember) KOTOR. And even making games for the PS2 is becoming kind of outdated. They end up outsourcing they development to the companies that do the Wii games because both of those have crummy graphics. With better systems like the 360, the PS2 is becoming more and more obsolete. Besides, most new games are only available on the 360 and PS3. Don't mean to drag on here, but the PS3 and 360 have taken over the market for all the good games. The Wii can't support most new good games, so they either just don't have them or try, and fail, to make a version for the Wii, such as COD 5 or TFU.

I don't know, PS3 power and mixing TFU game play with a Co-op game could be good, but then you cant brush it off, its only a rumour.

I mean if you took TFU and used the game play there, like the ability to force push, perhaps other abilities such as mind trick, i would say shield but we haven't seen that from Anakin.

The only thing bothering me, is if it doesn't use TFU game play and DMM, Havik, and Euphoria then it will be a big let down, and i cant see having the filth black saber.

I beg to differ, sony is really pushing the ps2, there is still allot of dev being done for it, plus with the price drop its sure to cut into the wii market for anyone who hasn't got a console yet.

Which is funny because Nintendo killed themselves, originally sony and nintendo were making a cd base "snes", but there was a big split over things and ever since sony has destroyed nintendo.

Sounds like a next gen version of the one on the DS.

What i would really like is a game similar to rouge squadron/the clone wars game that was released for the gamecube, but in the clone wars style, or a new jedi knight game.

Cool. Sounds like a new version of Jedi Power Battles. I'm curious how it will turn out, especially since it's made for the next gen consoles and is therefore automatically made for a more mature audience, plus it will (hopefully) have nice graphics and gameplay. And yes, it would be cool if it were anything like TFU gameplay-wise. And I really hope that you can control other Jedi than just Skyguy & Snips. :hmpf: Mace Windu anyone? :cry_happy:

Well i doubt you will get other Jedi, i could be wrong, but most likely those 2 and then im guessing DLC, and then let you play as a skin of another jedi, or sith like TFU.

I just wish they would give us some physics info, havik, dmm, euphoria, all, none, or what.

I assume at least havik as it is popular.

More to the point, where are they going to show off, its getting late to announce an e3 spot.

That looks really good! Thanks Darth Sion!

Jetpacks, vehicles, play as clones and Jedi.

I hope you'll be able to play as Kit Fisto and Gree. They're my favourites! :sweet:

Shall i pause and let you read the confirmation link i posted.

Entertainment Weekly reports that playable characters will include Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, and some of the clone trooper characters. Two-player co-op is also supported.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't read that, I just watched the video.:grin:

Do you think it will be Split Screen co-op or online co-op or both?

I have no idea, i assume it would be like lego, you know how like in their recent games how you play and have a partner you can "tag", at least thats what i hope, somethings you need to play as the jedi and others you need to be a clone.

The one thing im sure they will have it Rex in the game, and Cody, as those 2 are in the tv show the most.

The clip thing is bugging me, its almost like you will play the episodes.

But with it supposed to be out the 15th of September in the USA, (which i believe would make it exactly one year after they released TFU), they are bound to start releasing lots more info, hopefully they will have something more at E3.

Slightly off topic, but god damn American game devs suck, why must everything come out September to December.

Wow! That looks better than I thought! :sweet: It's awesome that you can use jetpacks and small vehicles, and that you can apparently play as any character you like! This allows for some awesome Jedi team-ups! It's also great to see that you have unique force powers like controlling droids. Do you think the Jedi will have signature force powers? Cause I'm really, really hoping that Mace can use his Shatterpoint powers on the droids! :cry_happy:

Agreed. That's the whole point of co-op.

Yeah, but when you look at the game footage, you can see that there are locations, team-ups, and droid models that we haven't seen in the show before, so either it includes episodes from Season 2 (which I doubt) or it has new material in it.

Christmas time. Duh! :hmpf::tongue:

Besides, how would you like it if we wouldn't sell our games to you at all?

uggh, this does not look like a ps3 game. It would look good as Wii shovel ware, as this game looks terrible.

Well, what did you expect? :sceptic: These are the same graphics as those of the show.

Just wait for Battle Front 3.

If it's ever released. :sadnew:

I don't think you will plays as anyone you want, mostly you will get certain characters on different levels.

Then again, if you read it says.

The game is based on the animated Clone Wars series and will take place between seasons one and two.

Oh that's lame, that's just as bad as the excuse for the EU PSN being totally rubbish, games will sell all year round, there's no reason to have so many in the run to Xmas, besides it would make sense to release more in November then September.

Besides, its star wars, it would sell any time of the year.

Oh crud, yeah if its out Sep' and the show is back Oct and its between 1-2.

That's OK, the really good games come from Japan anyway.

BF3 will come out eventually, weather its ps3 or 360 as well as pc is another thing, but you would think so as the other 2 were on ps2.

I really don't mind if this game is on the Wii. It would give me an excuse to use it again. It would be fun swooshing the Wii Remote to slice up droids. The only good thing about the PS3 is the graphics. :sceptic:

Greetings,

JD

This will not be on the Wii for 2 reasons.

1. The power needed is far more than the wii can handle.

2. There already is a clone wars game for the wii, which is why the PS3 360 is getting this.

Maybe it's like the lego games. Maybe it is that way during story mode, and throughout the game you unlock characters and when you're done, you can play the levels again with any character you like. :classic:

I see. But doesn't this make no sense? :sceptic: I mean, isn't the first episode of the second season supposed to directly connect with the last episode of the first?

Then again, the seasons don't have a consistent timeline, so I guess the events from this game could fit anywhere between the episodes of both seasons.

No my mistake, early news said 360 and PS3, but LA site says ALL, 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, and PSP, and even the DS, and PC.

Awesome slideshows! :sweet: I think imma get it for the PS3 because the rendering in those screenshots looks so nice!

It's good to see Gree & Bly are in the game, and that the clone arsenal includes a rotary blaster! :cry_happy:

A new villain, eh? Interesting...

Who are the guys in the red, yellow, and grey uniforms? :look:

"I have a bad feeling about this..." . No really, in another case I would be conformed with what we receive (If it is for the Wii which can´t support very good graphics but great gameplay) but to me this looks really lame. I am not a "graphicholic" kind of guy but if this is the best they can do with the PS3 and 360 version then I am going to be really disappointed :sadnew: . C´mon TFU in the PS3 looks absolutely amazing, in fact one of the best graphics I have seen in a videogame so far. With a good plot this could be good but honestly it doesn´t even seem to have an established plot at all :hmpf_bad: . This maybe will worth a rent but not a purchase in my opinion.

Again, this is a game based on a cartoon, so naturally the graphics are gonna be cartoony! How could you expect TFU quality visuals from this? And are graphics really all that important? :sceptic: IMHO, I don't care how crappy the visiuals are as long as it's an enjoyable game.
