KimT Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I bought this truck a while ago - and have later found out that there is an instruction from a 1998 magazine on how to build the trailer. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find this instruction anywhere. I've tried PICSL and some other places - without luck. Please help me fellow EB'ers *wub* *wub* This is the truck - notice the messages underneath KimT Quote
Lost Viking Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Do, you have any idea of when the magezine was came out (what month)? I may have it. Quote
KimT Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 Nope - no idea what so ever :| I'd be glad if you'd take a look in your archives *wub* KimT Quote
KimT Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Thanks - has anyone else ever met this "trailer" manual that I'm looking for? Because I'm not entirely sure that it's to be found in a 1998 magazine from LEGO. KimT Quote
Hobbes Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 This is the truck - notice the messages underneath The message says that they built a trailer based on a model in a magazine. To me that doesn't necessarily mean that there were instructions... Quote
KimT Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Well there is. Inside the box there was a note saying that the instructions were in a magazine KimT [unfortunaly I've lost that note :| ] Quote
Norro Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I have that set (it didn't come with any note though). I think a similar truck is featured in the 97 idea book with trailor... possibly this is the reference. Though I also remember seeing a trailor in a lego mag... God Bless, Nathan Quote
KimT Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Now You made me wonder if the "note" is something my memory made up... :| But I'm pretty sure there's an instruction for a trailer in a 1998 magazine. KimT Quote
Lost Viking Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Sorry kim, I looked for a while but I could not find it. Quote

pat34 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Lego places notes extremely rarely... they avoid all written languages for international compatibility... God Bless, Nathan I dont know if any of you use this site anymore considering the last post is from 05, but its worth a shot! I have the completed trailer to the legoland truck set, but have no idea where it came from. I havent used my legos since like 02 and i'm trying to sell them now, and found this trailer. it has 2 large stickers that say "legoland california" on each side of the trailer, in addition to the 2 smaller ones on the cab of the truck Any information on value, how i even came to build this, or where i got the 2 large stickers on each side of the trailer would be helpful Quote

Moderators don't really like old topics dragged up sometimes and besides, where's the rest of the truck and trailer in the shot ? Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) 'Pat34' found an accurate photo of it. I know its a black and red rectangle mess. I MOCed one that I like much more. I actually may have the instructions to the original. I remember seeing it in a Club Magazine or Shopping one and never through anything Lego away. But Iwill have to check. EDIT: I have found the Lego Magazine that contained the instructions! I photographed them unfortunately I can't find the d**n USB thing to transfer them to my computer. I should have it found soon though and will post it here. For further reference, it's on page 36 in the 1998 Holiday Issue I. Edited August 1, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) Alright, I finally found that darn USB thing and uploaded the pics from the magazine. For those interested here is the 1998 Lego 3442 Cali Truck Trailer! Oh small idea, anyone who builds it, could possibly review it and have it indexed? The Magazine Issue: Parts Kits: The Build 1-5 Final Step! Hope everyone likes! These are also on my Brickshelf account, CitySlicker, search "3442 Trailer" for larger photos Edit: Just noticed the original date, wish I could have helped back in '05 Edited August 1, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud Quote
