(I can post these here, right? They're not exactly space or mecha... but they are exo-force.)

Hello, all. I've finally decided to post two of my own MOCs. I hope you like them!

Actually they're combo models between 8103 (Sky Guardian) and 8106 (Aero Booster). The truth is, after buying those two sets I didn't particularly like either of them... so I just tore them apart and tried to make something better. Well actually, they're not perfect combo models. There are a couple of other pieces I used (like the minifig heads). I should also mention that they both cannot be made at the same time. I had to tear apart one in order to build the other.

The first one is called the Nitro Dragoon. As you can probably tell by its shape, it's built for speed. It doesn't even have any weapons! But it can outfly anything. It actually flies by flapping its wings like a bird.

The second one is called the Sky Lotus. This one is definitely built for combat. It's sort of like an aerial tank. The Sky Lotus is not very fast at all, but its highly defensive and offensive. It can spin around quickly to deflect bullets with its petals! Oh, and the turret on top rotates, even though it's a really jejune sort of function.

The original idea for this model was to make it look like a flower from on top, with the long and short 'petals' jutting out at odd intervals. As you probably can tell, I had trouble getting the back wide petals to angle properly. Building in threes with LEGO is not easy! But I think it looks okay anyways.

So what do you think? Any suggestions or comments? Please remember, though, that I didn't have so many pieces to work with... but I tried my best!

Both MOCs look very distinct and nice, well done.

Maybe the gap between the two halfs at the front section of your Nitro Dragoon could look interesting

if closed somehow with plates and its connection to the cockpit section could look a little smoother... :classic:
