many thanks mr buttons sir :pir-classic:

No problemo :pir-classic:

In future if you are searching for any technic peice go on to that website I sent you ( be sure to favourite it) and search for a recent technic flagship. Chances are that the peice you are looking for are in that set so you will be able to find it with ease. That is all I did to find that peice and it only took me a few mins.

And when will this beauty be finished you think?

That's a good question. Yesterday I could make some good progress by finishing all the ratlines and adding the second anchor the same way you added the first one (it bought another grey anchor via BL).

Besides all that i did some modifications to the ship. I've shortened the big sail a bit (the one which CGH put on the ship already) and made it 1,5 cm shorter so a minifig can better pass under it. Also I've decided to replace the lateen-sail connected to the mizzen-mast by a gaff-sail as this is more historically correct for the ship I'm building (hope the sail/mast terms are correct; I searched for them on the Internet). I took of the mizzen-mast yesterday and changed it for that reason (that's done now).

Next I'll need to finish all the other rigging (and I need to study for that a bit). Last I'll be making all the sails and finish some more details on the ship (flags/emblems). I don't want to put a final date as my goal is to make is as perfect as possible. I'm guessing in 2 months it should be about ready. Hopefully sooner....

You took of the entire mast? Wasn't that like a major challenge with all of the rigging that was already attached to it? :pir-oh3:

I'm glad you're going with the gaff-sail instead of the lateen-sail though as it will definitely improve the look of the ship.

But I already said that last time didn't I? :pir-tongue:

The anchor worked out well I hope?

I know your ship will be as perfect as possible because last time I saw her she was already near perfect.

that looks relly great! very promising. Sad there was just a cloud in front of it when you took the picture :pir_laugh2: And i think you can better call it "het staand want" in stead of 'de staande wanden' but I may be wrong too.. Masts are always a bit difficult with lego but this looks good, good luck with the rest of it.

She is looking beautiful! I can't wait to get my ship to the point where I can start putting sails on her. (It's going to be soon. I swear it!

Anyway, I can't wait to see more of her soon.

That wasn't easy, but I felt it was needed so I did it. Risk was ruining a lot of the rigging, but that didn't happen.

Yes, you did. What was I thinking? It will be much more authentic with the gaff sail.

It worked perfect. I did have a good example :pir-wink:

Thanks

Oh si, muy bonito!

Looking great, I'd love to see the stern. Must be beatiful. :pir-classic:

Thanks Mr. Tiber. I hope you haven't abandoned that wonderful ship of yours. I'd love to see some progress pictures of your ship.

Thanks a lot!

Any updates buddy?

I'm nearly ready with the rigging. Once that's done, I'll post a pic of the rigging (should be somewhere this week I hope).

Is she ready to be sunk by the French yet? :pir-grin:

:pir-classic: Currently my French fleet has nothing to match this ship, but that will soon change!

My army of Britian will help on the sidelines :pir-tongue:

Thanks for the offer General, but my British force is not entire helpless :pir-wink:

You will soon have another Ally! The HMS Unicorn, and it will work Captain Weed Hair!
I'm in this fight as well. :pir-skull:

Thanks Joey and Cap'n! Some extra ships always come in handy during battle!!!

Sorry, for the late response Boney, but my internet has been quite blocked up the past few weeks.

Anyway..

Thanks Mr. Tiber. I hope you haven't abandoned that wonderful ship of yours. I'd love to see some progress pictures of your ship.

Ah yes, the Unclaimable.. eah, I was forced to cannibalise her unfortunately, from the outside it looked all posh but it was a technical disaster, kinda like a card house; I hate it when it breaks apart when I touch it. But I'll rebuild her, after I've finished this frigate I've secretely been working on.

So, how's your pretty boat coming along now?

Aha, a secret project :pir-cry_happy:. I'd love to see some pics!

All finished. I'm already working on my next ship :pir-sweet:

Now I just need to make a setup and take good pictures.

You are a busy one!

The build of the Le Formidable took 3 years! Updating it every time and so on. :pir_laugh2:

I can't tell you how eager I am to see those pictures Bonaparte!

Now that you've told us it's finished you'll have to show some pictures Boney!

Don't keep us waiting. :pir-cry_sad:

Well, I'm leaving for an assignment in the Middle East, so I won't be home the coming days to take pics. Besides, I want to make a nice setup with a big white sheet as background and the perfect light. And since the ship is rather high and long I'm still fingering out how and where to do it.
