Darth Legolas Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Doesn't seem very really, but then again, doesn't seem very fake! I love those electricity-shocky thingies! Is it the same one when you put your hands on it your hair stands up? But hilarious, nonetheless! Quote
General Armendariz Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Yeah these are great but how do the do that? Quote
Freddie Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Doesn't seem very really, but then again, doesn't seem very fake! They are very real. As an instrument they are known as Zeusaphones, and smaller versions of these are commercially available. has an interview with one of the designers that built and operates the coil shown in the first video, and its explained that the music we hear is basically modulated thunder. There's also lots and lots of other videos of other people building and playing music through their own tesla coils/zeusaphones. Quote

Millacol88 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Very cool. I wouldn't have the courage to get zapped, even for the sake of a beloved theme song. I love those electricity-shocky thingies! Is it the same one when you put your hands on it your hair stands up? Your thinking of a Van De Graff generator. Thank you science class. Quote
