Dadster Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Just got a new mag in the mail. Game Informer (#192). There is a little blurb about "Lego Battles" for the DS utilizing Castle, Pirate, and Space factions. I wish they'd do other gaming versions (360, PS#, etc), but until then, I can always borrow my daughters'... From the Article... After conquering Star Wars, Batman, and Indiana Jones, Lego is finally building a game out of its own parts. Lego Battles for the DS uses the toy maker's Castle, Pirate, and Space series for more than 70 missions and six different storylines as players create bases and command armies. prateek Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 the folder's not yet public, but the game does sound better than the LSW games on DS. Try deeplinking the pic Quote

Algernon Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Cool, that sounds fun. I wonder what gameplay will be like. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) Woohoo! Sounds great! Finally, a newer Lego game with non-licensed themes! If I had a DS, I'd definitely get this. Too bad! Edited March 18, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote

Millacol88 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Unlike you, Legolas, I do have a ds. I may get this, if only as a tideover to universe. One thing I dont understand though, why space? Not that Im complaining, but I doubt the target audience of LEGO and the DS have ever heard of that theme, it ended a while ago, didnt it? By the way, the apostrophe key on my keyboard is broken. Uh... definitely not. Mars Mission is a Space theme, although many people don't seem to like to call it that, it has all the necessary qualifying factors. Space Police 3, also, is most certainly a Space theme and to call it otherwise would be incorrect. I just hope I get to pilot a Galactic Mediator. Quote
prateek Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 woah, 70 missions! hopefully, they arent too short Quote

Natman8000 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Aw, dont tease, I'm still waiting for my game informer to come. Still, it looks cool and I think it is SPIII that is the space aspect of it. I have a DS but honestly I'm saving my cash for Mario and Luigi RPG 3. Quote

Matteo Kenobi Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Wow this looks great, thank goodness I have a DS, even though I haven't played it in ages. Is there an idea of when it will come out? Quote
