Mace Windu

Does anyone think that Mace Windu has never really been made successfully in LEGO?

There's been two incarnations of him:

Mace Windu 1

Mace Windu 2

In my opinion I just think that neither of them really capture the coolness of Windu nor of Samuel L Jackson, though the second one comes close.

Well, Mace Windu isnt really a main charachter so I wouldnt think that there would be too much effort into him.

I actually though the first minifig in non LUL represented him well. The second, doesn't even look like the animated Windu IMO. His face looks far to fat. How can you capture awesomeness in a minifig as well? Apart form the fact minifgis are already awesome.

I like the second one, but the only problem IMO is the stud on his head. TLC should make a "bald cap" to put over the stud on the head of a bald MF

You have perfectly voiced an opinion I have had for so long. There would be just so many uses for such a piece, and would definitely make for better looking bald characters like Mace Windu.

I find the second one better, although the face is too fat. But what are you going to do with the standard minifigure head? I do not feel the first one worked well, it was far too bland.

And as far as awesomeness in a minifigure, I personally think that the CW Count Dooku and the Imperial AT-ST driver are pretty awesome. And that new Palpatine looks pretty awesome to me too.

It was released in 2006 in the USA, too. I picked one up a couple of months after I came out of my dark ages, and the non-LULs Mace that came with it is great. Reading this thread inspired me to pick up an extra head from that minifig. I also like the new CW Mace. I didn't like any of the new cartoon style faces at first, but I'm really starting to warm up to them. I agree that the new Palpatine looks really good. It's incredibly creepy, but I like it.

Anyone knows that the Mace figs don't look as badass as the real Mace Windu, and it's likely that no minifig ever will. But the CW one gets close enough to it.

Anyway, I think the Shaquille O'Neal head fits Mace Windu pretty well too, even though he seems slightly too happy for Mace:

If they would make a head like that, but with the facial expression of the CW Mace, it would be perfect IMO.
