Have you ever thought of the TLC making "The young Indiana Jones" sets if so please state your ideas for sets below. If you have ever seen the series, you would see the possibilties of a smashing sucses. So post away.

That would be phenomenal. That show was incredible. It was canceled, I believe, because it was just so expensive to produce. Each episode felt movie quality. They could do some great sets from that series, I think.

If the TLC haven't got any more set ideas, they will maybe produce some things based on the beginning of ''The Last Crusade''.

But at the moment I still think: No..., because most of the kids (especially them, who haven't seen the third movie) don't know something about the young Indy.

Think of this:

A child heard something about new Indiana Jones sets. After school he went to the local toy seller.

As he opened the door and saw the LEGO frame, he couldn't believe his eyes..no Indiana Jones sets.

[Argh some nazi soldiers catch them  ]

He asked the shop-assistent but he could showed him them. But the sets don't contain any Indiana Jones, such boring...

I think this could be possible the reaction of some kids.

But I would be happy about new ''young'' sets, especially such a circus train would be awesome...

Interesting idea. I haven't seen the show, but I think a set or two based on the beginning of The Last Crusade would sell well. However, I don't think that a younger audience would see the point in buying them. :sceptic:

Wrong Young Indy, that is The Last Crusade, whereas Young Indy was actually a short TV series.

I think George Lucas just filmed the series to practice for Star Wars Episode I, I am pretty sure I read that in a book somewhere.

So, no, I don't really want Young Indy sets, though I could use the parts.

Why wrong.... :hmpf:

I think it's the most known young Indy in public.

And besides most of the people watched ''The Last Crusade'' instead of the external films!

So TLC would probably get more profit with The Last Crusade-''Young Indy''.

He's meaning you misinterpreted his original concept. But that doesn't matter. It is a lot more likely that the Circus Train set would be made than anything from the spinoff stuff, considering I never knew it existed until I read this topic!

That's just it, they watched The Last Crusade! :hmpf_bad:

All TLC showed was a clip of Indy when he was young, not part of the series entitled Young Indy.

That's 'why wrong.'

Do you guys think that when they stop creating Indiana Jones set they will get as expensive as the Batman line? I check eBay a lot and the prize for Batman LEGO is insane, and do you think Indy will get like that?

Between the young Indy from The Last Crusade and the young one from the series are no difference.

But ''nobody'' knows as I said above something from the series.

And besides a circus train would be very impressive...

Sorry but this doesn't belongs in that topic!

And we can't know if the Indy sets will have the same price rise if the line reduced...

You know what, just sure. Sure. You think what you want, but whatever. I don't feel like argueing over something with pointless/useless results right now.

So.....On topic...

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. A circus train would indeed be very impressive, even though TLC probably wouldn't make it with all of the cars.

Two main details I would look forward to from it are all of the animals, new and old, and some dark green fedoras.

I doubt they would to the TV show. Not many kids would have seen it. MAYBE a set or two, but I highly doubt it. I can, however, see them doing a few sets from the beginning of The Last Crusade.

That circus train would be a good addition, there being the new train system later this year and all.

First, I totally agree that a circus train would be awesome, and it would be really awesome if they would make the car and truck that were involved in the chase with Indy when he took the cross from that Indy lookalike.

Second, about the green fedoras. I more or less thought that they should use Jonny Thunder hats with totally flat brims as the Boy Scout hats.

Third, I would LOVE it if they made that fat Boy Scout, that would be GREAT :pir-laugh:

That show was awesome. Gosh, I hope they make some sets from the show. (Plus that circus train-one of my favorite Indiana Jones scenes ever.) :cry_happy:

I, for one, would absolutely love, love, LOVE for them to produce sets based on the TV series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles / The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones (as well as the prologue from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). Like some here, I don't know that they actually would - it's certainly not nearly as likely as anything from the four feature films, of course - but since they're open to doing sets from the Star Wars EU (much or even most of which is unfamiliar to most kids in LEGO's target market), I don't think it's completely out of the question.

I've actually already seen someone's Indiana Jones MOC gallery that includes at least one creation from the TV show in addition to a few from the movie series (including one of the circus train, as it happens), so clearly those people expressing their interest in Young Indy LEGO in this thread aren't the only ones interested.

That said, I do acknowledge there are some potential obstacles to official sets ever happening. Aside from the relative obscurity of the show when compared to the movies, the show is stuffed with real-world, historical figures as characters, some of whom would really need to be represented in a lot of scenes that might be recreated in a set, but I don't know if LEGO is interested in producing minifigures of historical figures (though I guess some of the real-world basketball players and race car drivers and so on that they've done might establish a precedent).

No, I think not. First of all, I don't really think the show caught on all that well, and I'm willing to bet that no kid has even heard of Young Indy. The only time that I ever heard of it was from previews on an old Last Crusade VHS tape. It may be interesting for some AFOLs, but I doubt any kids will recognize it or buy it. The circus train is probably the closest we'll get to having a Young Indy line, but good idea anyways.
