I was wondering if anyone could help me find a picture of the Lego 'dollar' brick. I was going to put it as my avatar, but I can't find it on Peeron. Help? It will be appreciated earnestly. :D

I always found it funny how everything in the Lego world costs $100.

Not really. They also use coins worth 10, 20, 30 and 40. And who says the currency of Lego world is a dollar, anyway?

Well, 100 of most currencies seems like a lot for ice cream:

As for the coins, those are mainly seen in Pirate sets. I'm not sure if they were ever used in City sets.

That would be great if they released a Bank set, of the same size and similar to Cafe Corner or Market Square, with a huge vault with 1's, 2's, 5's, 10's, 20's, 50's, and 100's. :cry_happy: And tons of gold coins.

The poor man just dropped 100 Euros/Pounds/Dollars/Yen/Pesos at that store, and now all of groceries are flying out of his truck. Oh well, I guess that is what happens if your listening to your music to loud.

Thats a good idea, we need more currency's in our lego.

Yes we need a bigger variety of bills.

I would love it if they released a bank set, and don't forget gold bricks

That's why the cashier has really big eyes, and is chasing down the customer to give her her change of $98.50

This topic has turned into an interesting discussion. Perhaps a name-change is in order?

I thought it fit.

I was thinking if there is any value to this discussion, but it seemed you guys have turned it to be quite useful. I have amended the topic title to keep this discussion going with relevant content, relating to the dollar bill appearing in earlier LEGO sets and your thoughts as well. :classic:

The 10,20,30,40 are lego cents, and the 100 is 100 lego cents - i.e. 1 lego dollar. Except in the Western cents where it is indeed 100 lego dollars, and the Pirate sets where the coins are bullion.

That's my take on it.
