WWII Custom Figs

Hi,

Previously my main focus has been on creating a consistent Post-Apoc themed group of customs, as a bit of a break from that I have been playing around with WWII. Here is the result:

Thanks Exxtrooper, the thing on his head is a folded Rising Sun flag headscarf that was worn during WWII most notably by the Kamikaze pilots.

I used Games Workshop Green Stuff to form the head scarf around a normal hair piece. Then it was painted with the rising sun design. ' No lego was injured in the making of this piece'

Very nice paint job, you are very good at painting how small is your brush .

The best one is the Japanese Pilot. They all look great, and I can't find anything wrong with them.

Forgive if I am wrong, but the tank regiment guy's hat looks like a megablok. Still, very nice figs and use of GW green stuff! And that Rising sun painting is just , looks like you have lot's of practice from GW.

Hi Bonaparte I am glad you like it... I have also created quite a few more designs that can be seen on my Flickr stream, including:

Parachute Regiment Beret;

American Airborne Cap;

Military Contractor Skull and Crossbones cap;

Green Beret;

Various others.

I do these just for my own custom figs as each one is handpainted... but occassionally I do get carried away and create spares.

Thanks... the beret is from Sluban, which I have subsequently painted a different colour and logo. I am not quite sure what Exxtrooper means... maybe his real meaning was lost in translation.
