Lordofdragonss Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I love the idea how you put horns, somewhat, it looks like skeletauren xD Quote
Millacol88 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Thats a very a very spooky-looking monster you've got there. Somehow it reminds me of General Grievous. Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I agree with Millacol, it looks like a skeleton grevous. Nice work and I really like the horns as well. Quote
Zorro Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Yeah your "grevious" looks awesome. And the guys you put next to them really hold natural positions. Great work. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Wild West + Horror :skull: = This is really an interesting little creation, and a creature that I've never heard of. I particularly enjoyed reading the story from Koda's account. Do you have the 2nd page of the story (Pgae 29)? In regard to your MOC, while the 4-armed creature does look slightly like Grevious (for obvious reasons), what a fantastic creation. It reminds me of another Western legend, that of the gargoyle from an old 1972 B-horror flick called Gargoyles. Gargoyle bones are found in Arizona that look somewhat similar to the Bone Fiend. I particularly like the wing/clavical bones sticking up. They give the Bone Fiend a real menacing look. Your gunfighters are equally nice. I love that axe rifle - very clever. Overall, this is a great little scene - something right out of Grave Stone. :skull: I like! Quote
Sir Dano Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Overall, this is a great little scene - something right out of Grave Stone. :skull: I like! Thanks, the excerpt is from a Deadlands source book, so rather than scan another page, I'll just quote it here: Explorer Koda is correct about the importance of the small bag and its contents, a pitch-black skull that apparently serves as a control center for the creature. I once opened a bone fiend’s bag before destroying the creature and noted an unearthly glow from within, as well as a bit of animation. That is, its mouth moved. The fiend protects its black skull well, not only by hiding it, but with arcane defenses as well. The bone fiend bears some interesting similarities to the ’glom and the dark beast. Those interested in classifying unusual creatures should refer to those entries as well.—N.T. In regard to your MOC, while the 4-armed creature does look slightly like Grevious (for obvious reasons), what a fantastic creation. Yeah your "grevious" looks awesome. I agree with Millacol, it looks like a skeleton grevous. Somehow it reminds me of General Grievous. Thanks, main reason for it looking like Grievous is because I based the body on Larry Lars' Grievous. Quote
74louloute Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I specially like the shape of the base, very new and far better than a square one ! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Thanks, the excerpt is from a Deadlands source book, Thanks SD. I checked out the game. It looks pretty slick, esp. with the use of a deck of cards rather than traditional dice. I may have to pick up a copy of this game just for the content. I may send you a separate PM if you don't. In any case, I like your Bone Fiend - an excellent desert creature for the Wild West. Quote
