Tinn-man Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Wow, this thing is cool! Is if just me, or does it have sounds, too? Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Wow, that's a lucky fellow! Thanks for sharing. Wow, this thing is cool! Is if just me, or does it have sounds, too? The technic parts on the wheels make that ''ticking'' noise, but the 9V engine is annoyingly the loudest. Quote
Buttons Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 It's better than the noise of a real engine though CGH Looks good, and what an entry to make on Eurobricks. May I be the first to welcome you to our community. Buttons Quote
BillytheKid Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 When I'm able to buy it, I remodify it for 12v. But on 9v it looks amazing too. I still need a technic for a Big-Boy model . Quote
prateek Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 i still dont understand those balck things at the front of the engine. anyway nice vid and congrats on getting the set so soon Quote
legotrainfan Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Thanks for the link! Very nice to see the engine in action! Quite hard for the 9V motor to push this long locomotive! Even though I'm a 9V nut, I'll use PF for this set as soon as I have it. I don't want to overburden my precious 9V motors too much. That'd certainly limit their lifespan. Quote
Freddie Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 i still dont understand those balck things at the front of the engine. anyway nice vid and congrats on getting the set so soon I'm taking it that you're ponting to the two black panels sitting at either side of the tank? Those are smoke deflectors, which are a set of wings that direct the exhaust-smoke away from the engine's windows. Nice to actually see it move, albeit I'd prefer to see someone use the proper method. I'm curious to how fast, or slow, the engine really is, since the XL-motor can't spin very quickly (but makes it up in torque). Quote
