Very impressive. While I fell out of Harry Potter Lego's, it would have been nice to see them continue. I wish that they had done a better, more detailed version of Hogwarts.

That's awesome! You did a really great job, I love it so far. Great roundings, and the windows used fit in well. Good job, keep on building! =D

That's helluva lot of tan bricks you've got there! :oh: I've got plenty of tan from my HP-sets, but they're mostly in the form of those long 2x5 pillars.

But the facade is absolutely beautiful. Loving it!

It could use a few more HP-related minifigs for show, though.

I hate you!

Nah just kidding. I love your castle so far. Can't wait to see it when it's completed. But that will probably take a very long time! What pics are you using for referance? Allways nice to see fellow harry potter lego fans here!

Great work

I think this is the best way to make a Hogwarts front.

Nice round towers, perfect colours and awesome windows.

So this is perfect!

That's beautiful! I love the rounded towers as well as the flags. I would never be able to make that. That must've cost a fortune too. I can't wait to see what else you do.

Very, very cool. I've always wanted to try that rounded technique but I don't have enough pieces. Looks a little life like from far away. Maybe if you put it on top of a hill in front of a highway, people will look up and think it's a huge castle much farther away!

I'm about ready to do some renovations. Nothing too major. The big areas will look the same but hopefully some of the connecting areas will be better and some more bulk added.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a picture of what the whole setup looks like now before I start work.

Of course, these pictures are also for me so when I mess it up completely trying to enhance it maybe I can get back to this point. ;-)

Thanks for looking,

Wow! That's looking good, Tohst! :oh:

The removable side to the building is a great idea! I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever decide to make a huge building.

Is it in a true minifigure scale?

I can't wait to see more pictures!

Hello there!

This is really very impressive! I can imagine the amount of time you've spent to come to that point now. But you really do a wonderful job here. I think the big round tower with the stairhouse inside is very original, and the way you shaped a coned top for the tower with vertical attached slopes is very clever! :classic:

Looking forward seeing more!

I can't say its true minifigure scale. Thre great hall is probably half the size it should be. It fits two tables down the length and not four. Luckily, Lego never saw fit to give us any Ravenclaws or Hufflepuffs so I don't feel too bad. It does lead to a lot of food fights with the Slytherins right next to the Gryffendor table.

I think my next bits are going to be some interior rooms and the entrance with the pendulum. I'm having some trouble trying to figure out how it all goes together.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to showing more. Hopefully what I have planned for the tower will enhance rather than ruin it. :)

Very impressive. I really like the brickwork, it curves nicely and looks like real bricks from a distance. My only gripe is the top cones are half open, is there a reason for this??

Also I thought it was funny, I was going through the pictures on flickr and I came to one labeled right size, and I thought wait a minute, that looks like a toilet.

It was, I didn't notice that it moved onto to other pcitures.

Nice toilet BTW.

Playability. Its the only reason there are little huts on top of the towers to begin with.

Thanks! It is actually a space ship shaped like a toilet. It needs a little work to finish off (especially the interior).

One of the best architectural creations I have ever seen!

Bravo, man!

Thanks!

I agree that it is amazing, the best hogwarts I have ever seen when it comes to everything but playability. The other one I saw was based on playability. Anyway your rounded towers are brilliant and the great hall is well designed.
