legofan Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Hi all! Thought i would just share my small little insignificiant collection with you guys! Do feel free to pass any critisim or commends positive and negative! Thanks inadvance! These shots are taken from my handphone and the sets are inside their permanent storage cabinets: The display cabinet (full view) First two layers from top. First layer show-casing a scene from formula one racing together with the indy car transporter reviewed earlier on ~ 2nd Layer: A creator house with a portion of the lengary airport 10159 .. Third and Fourth layer. Third layer showing assortment of sets from construction to transport and the shuttle launching crew... Fourth layer: The town plan ~ Fifth and sixth layer. Fifth layer showing a busy harbour scene and the sixth layer showing the main street. (my personal favourite!) The last two layers. The 7th showing a very messy assortment of sets... (sorry running out of space) The final layer showing the other portion of the airport, combined with some air cargo port ~~ Finally a closer shot of the main street ~ Do feel free to commend! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 What a nice collection Legofan. I'm loving all the classic town sets. The curio cabinet provides a nice way to keep the dust off, and to display that awesome collection. Very nice! Quote
PizzaAdrian Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Wonderful collection! And a great way to display it all! I love the pizzeria and the old gas station! Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Dude, thats not little. But it is very impressive and it is set up nicely. Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks for sharing your classic collection with our community. I love the way on how you display your sets, and in fact this is the kind of storage which I envision to build in my own flat next time. Did you have any other cupboards as well? Perhaps, I could ask for some tips from you next time, when I am able to ballot my own HDB flat in the near future. If possible, do take some clear images. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Must be sweet opening that press :) Some great sets you have there, I love the Pizzeria, burger joint and Octan station especially! Quote
legofan Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Thank you so much guys for all the commends! Really very happy to hear that! @ Whitefang: Sure bro! I can help you shall you need my help! All the best in your balloting! Yap, the pizzeria, burger joint and the old Octan Station are my favourite sets too! They are small but detailed and every bit essential for any town! Quote
Derek Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Whoa! That is an impressive collection! Have you considered making a "tabletown" layout? It would be very nice if you did. Quote
andy16806 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Nice town/city collection you have there. I see that we share the same taste for sets I really want a glass cabinet like yours to display my collection as well Quote
Freddie Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Nice town/city collection you have there. I see that we share the same taste for sets I really want a glass cabinet like yours to display my collection as well Don't we all? I like how the sets are presented, but that's because I've presented mine similarily (where possible), except my collection's not in a cabinet and is collecting massive amounts of dust. So your solution is absolutely something I'm gunning for when I get the chance. Quote
