CommanderFox Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Saw a new 3-in-1 Hoth pack at Farmers (Henderson) yesterday - Wampa set, Tauntaun set & Rebel Minifig pack in a large box for $130. It was 20% off yesterday too, but no budget to buy it unfortunately. Maybe next sale. Oh glory! I might have to get that! Anychance of a pic? Edit: Its not got the Wampa Cave in it but here we go. Check it out Here. Thank you, CF, very kind of you to say. :) No problems! We have to look after the NZ community here on EB afterall. CF Edited November 8, 2010 by CommanderFox
jp-30 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Commander Fox, I think I know what a Wampa looks like. You've linked to a different 3-in-1 Hoth box. This is the one at Farmers;
phantom6700 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I was so bummed out about missing out on the $30 Warehouse deal. Seems a lot of people bought them up with the aim of reselling them, so I was able to score a brand new one off Trademe for $85, which I guess beats the RRP of $160. Theres also some good stuff on Ebay.com.au from time to time, and the shipping is a fair bit cheaper than from the states.
CommanderFox Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Look what The Warehouse has Finally!! And to beat it they are below RRP! Do you guys reckon I should pick up the Quidditch Match and Dobby's release for that price? Commander Fox, I think I know what a Wampa looks like. You've linked to a different 3-in-1 Hoth box. This is the one at Farmers; Snip Haha, yes I thought there must be somekthing wrong with that. Wow, so there are two new 3 in 1 sets! Personally I like this one you have deeplinked the pic of better then the other one. Warehouse also have some other things on sale! Ben 10 sets are now $15 - save $10. Can't see why people would want them, personally they are a big disapointment! The Kingdom Kings Castle is $149.99 - save $40! City Fireboat (exclusive to Warehouse) is $49.99 - save $40! Warehouse also have a little promo - Buy 2 or more City sets and get 20% off! The SW BPs are both $17.99! - Save $4. Power Miners Claw Catcher (8190) is $38.99 - Save $20 = apparently only 500 units! Bummer indeed. It was a deal too good and Warehouse should have planned for it better. They could have made a strict limit of 1 per customer made clear in the advertisement. It would be difficult to enforce. I don't advocate printing the fingers, if you bought one already... :) But at least they could have made a little effort in order to benefit more customers. So actually I blame them. I think they should have sold them for $50 a pop, 50% off the $100 they were marked in store. That would have given them more profit and would have benefited more end customers, in my opinion. For the record: I do buy/sell and trade Lego to recover the cost of my own hobby, but I am against emptying shelves of retailers and taking Lego away from kids. This is a fine line and could be a subject of long debate, but this is my personal opinion. None of my activities ever effected supply - demand. For the sake of full disclosure, the only time I've emptied shelves was an end of season clearance sale (75% off at Target in the States), but I believe that to be an exceptional case that can be justified.

Toye Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Warehouse also have a little promo - Buy 2 or more City sets and get 20% off! Wait, all lego sets have 20% off. Does this mean that if you buy 2 or more you get another 20% off? No discount seems to be added on if I have 2 or more city sets in my cart.
RileyC Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (edited) I bought the Slave 1 today! I got it from Toy World with a 20% off voucher which I got from their website. I think its really worth $160 I payed for it. The minifigs are incredible! Boba is just so detailed and Bossk is really awesome. The Slave 1 is much bigger than I expected and has some really nice details. If you love star wars then you should definitely get this! I hope my next purchase is the AT AT Edited November 10, 2010 by Roncanator

CommanderFox Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (edited) I don't know if you've ever imported stuff CF, but if your looking for a good price on HP sets... Check this out Pritty decent really Ive never imported. Its not bad are the prices in US? They say on FBTB 2x The burrow where $75, but ive been on the site and can only find These three. I wanted the Quidditch set and Dobby's Release but no Quidditch set. I guess sold out. Also they don't say anything about the 50% off sale on the site I think I'll keep a watch though, if anyones planning on doing an order, PM me and I might join in. Edit: has anyone got bulk 1x1s and 1x2s tiles in the light and dark greys and also the light bluish and dark bluish greys? I'm planning a Diagon Alley moc that I'm going to do over the next year (this is all hopeful, might not come to bricks) but I wanted to see if I could get some of the above tiles for the walk way. Thanks and if you have some, PM me. CF Edited November 11, 2010 by CommanderFox
CommanderFox Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Sorry for the double post but I went to Warehouse yesterday, to find shelves empty of anything HP. I kept looking incase it was another rehash of staff taking sets out of site, but couldn't find anything. Was so tempted to climb there ladders and open all the boxes on top of the aisles, and would have probably struck gold Anyone been to Kmart recently? I wonder if they have HP sets there yet. CF

CommanderFox Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 My guess is that that they'll put them on the shelves once their sale finishes The conniving devils! I think I'll go ahead and order a Freeing Dobby or two on the website. CF

CommanderFox Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Fair enough Well I haven't bought one yet, instead i found This on TM! So finally I have Bane's Speeder, and for only $56.50! But no box, oh well. So stoked! How much was it when alot of you guys bought it on sale? CF
RileyC Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 So stoked! How much was it when alot of you guys bought it on sale? It was $59 or $69, I think. I saw it in the hamilton Toy world still for the price that I bought it at. Its a pretty good set. One of the better ones I have bought in this wave. Though it doesnt compare to the slave 1
Legoman Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 It was $59 or $69, I think. I saw it in the hamilton Toy world still for the price that I bought it at. Its a pretty good set. One of the better ones I have bought in this wave. Though it doesnt compare to the slave 1 If you have that toyworld voucher, you can buy it new for $48... It's $60 new at toyworld Did you like the Slave 1 Ronc? Thats intresting. Apart from the nice figs, I think the ship is far too similar to the last one (6209) to warrant an extra $100... Not that I paid full price of corse , I got it for $140, and was still a tad dissapointed. Ah well I still need to save for the 2 New UCS!
RileyC Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Yeah I picked it up for $160 this week. I love the minifigs, I dont care about how detailed they are cause they look awesome. I probably like it because I dont have the previous one. It has some nice detail on it and the colours are really cool. I do like the new USC shuttle but I still need to get the AT AT and the emperor's shuttle from this wave though. I hope there are a few good sales coming up for those!
