benny Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) The Hakuchō (白鳥, Hakuchō?) and Super Hakuchō (スーパー白鳥, Sūpā Hakuchō?) are Japanese limited express train services which operate between Hachinohe and Hakodate. The services are operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and Hokkaidō Railway Company (JR Hokkaidō) respectively. The services commenced in December 2002, coinciding with the opening of the Tōhoku Shinkansen extension from Morioka to Hachinohe. Now, it is 90% completed!!!!! The final product will be displaced later! Edited February 20, 2009 by benny Quote

Eilif Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) Great job. Excellent job of capturing all the detail of the original in such a small 6 wide space. Thanks for including the original pics also. The train looks so unique that if I hadn't seen the pictures I would have thought it was a sci-fi MOC. Edited February 16, 2009 by Eilif Quote
djo Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 nice MOC. i appreciate your effort for making this train. althought the real thing looks quite simple, i'm sure you're making this MOC thinking very hard for the parts. as i can see from the side view, the MOC is need some improvement. the body line should be smoother. i feel like the body is separated. just my two cents. keep the great work man. Actually, i completed 90% of this train with my home parts!!!! I ordered more parts from bricklink, i will improve it tonight or in this week!!!! The green parts and green curved slope are not ease to find in HongKong, but i will work hard to improve it in my best!!!! This train is working in Japan between North-East of Japan (Aomori) to Hakutade in Hoikaido(North of Japan) Quote
Freddie Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 This is certainly a unique and good looking train, Benny! I also agree with Eilif that it was nice of you to also post pictures of the real deal, because of it's rather special design, with the driver-cabin placed over the door, it could easily have come from someone's imagination. Very few trains use that configuration. But I can't help thinking that it looks like the entire front-end of the train is going to fall of. Is there some reinforcing there that we don't see? Quote
