Sandy Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 Sandy Moondust is from set 3928. I should rather say that she is set 3928. Thanks a lot, Alice! I was wondering about my namesake, since I couldn't find her in any of the space sets. She's one special minifig, I gotta say. Loganwan, I agree that there are quite a lot of females, but in comparison to male minifigs, they're still a small minority. We're heading to a better direction, though. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 *hesitant hand raising* There are three Cams in Alpha Team. One in a grey vest/bodywarmer one in diving gear (I dont count the flipperless one and the full diving gear ones as different myself, so technicaly it could be four...) and one in the Mission Deep Sea uniform with hair instead of diving gear. Cam was my favourite character and minifig of the theme so I know lots... Quote
Shine Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 1269, 3053, and 3076 include a female ninja dressed in white. 3346 includes a female ninja dressed in green. Quote

I can only find Cam in three sets, and in two of them she's almost exactly the same (the other one is with flippers, as you said). Can you point me to the fourth set? 1269, 3053, and 3076 include a female ninja dressed in white.3346 includes a female ninja dressed in green. Did you really think I'd forget the awesome "female ninjas"? Because that's a misnomer (ninja is a male specific term, like samurai), they are listed as "Kunoichi" in my list - that's what female equivalents of ninjas are called in reality. So they are there. Matn Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Thanks for this great list of female LEGO figures, Sandy. You did a great job. How come Snape Boggart is a lady? Quote

Can you point me to the fourth set? There is Cam with glasses and a grey vest (with tools printed on torso) Cam in Diving Gear (flippers and a flipperless) and Cam in mission deep sea uniform with no diving gear and the very cool Dark Red long hair. I found them on the bricklink catalogue. Quote
Sandy Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Thanks for this great list of female LEGO figures, Sandy. You did a great job. How come Snape Boggart is a lady? Well, since the boggart's torso and hair are considered female pieces (the boggart is dressed in Neville's granny's nightgown, after all), they outweight the "masculinity" of Snape's head. And I had to have some humor to the list, didn't I? Quote
Matn Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Yes, you are right. He doesn't have any masculanity at all in that outfit. Quote
Norro Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I don't claim to be an expert, though I am attempting to collect all of them (only because I'm attempting to collect every figure in every variation in existence). How's that going? Cheers for the list Sandy. Some time, I'll try to read the ultimate collectors book alongside it... God Bless, Nathan Quote
mandziarat Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 This is probaly the most in depth thing I have seen on the forums so far. Great job Sandy Quote
Dadster Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Ta-dah! I updated the list to include all variations of female minifigs (legs, skin colors included) and connected each to their respective sets if I could just find it. Keychains and magnets are also mentioned.Needless to say, the list grew quite a lot, and it now holds 343 wonderful women made of LEGO. I might still be missing some, though, and several are still missing their sets. So more help is appreciated. Ladies of LEGO (version 2) *) I own... *edited for length...* What? No links? Seriously, that's quite the listing. Quote
Sandy Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 The first post is now edited with an up-to-date list of the female minifigs (along with an update on which of them I own). Since we're on topic, I have to say that I'm very close to owning all twelve printed dresses (yeah, there's only so few of them produced), I just need to get my hands on this summer's Castle sets. Then I can showcase you them all. If you're curious, the twelve printed dresses belong to (the ones I own now are marked with *): Castle Blacksmith’s Wife – 3739/Queen Leonora* – 6098 (red and blue dress with a key on the belt) Crown Princess* – 7093, 852001, 852293 (dark blue dress with gold trimming) Crown Queen – 7079 (blue dress with gold and white trimming and patterns) Maid* – 7979, 10193 (tan top and brown dress with an apron) Market Woman* - 10193 (black and dark green dress with white lace) Troll Shaman – 7097 (brown dress with bone amulets) Willa the Witch* – 2872, 6037, 6087, 6097, 6031 (black and red dress with a spider symbol) Witch* – 7979, 852293 (black and dark green dress with a skull symbol and pouches) Harry Potter Professor McGonagall* – 4729 (green dress with golden ornaments) Professor Trelawney* – 4757 (blue dress with a purple scarf and a pendant) Statue* – 4751 (dark bley dress with white and green highlights) Pirates Governor’s Daughter* – 6243 (white dress with light blue patterns and golden jewellery) Quote
UserNameInvalid Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 What a list! Great work Sandy! I had no idea there were so many female minifigs! Unfortunately I have nothing to add to your list. So who is voluntering to do a male minifig list? And maybe a monster/animal list... Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Very nicely done, Sandy! This list is impressive. You should be proud of yourself for putting all this work into it. Quote
Crystal Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I never knew LEGO Had so much females in sets. nice index Quote
Anatomist Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 How many unique female faces are out there though? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 How many unique female faces are out there though? 54 at least according to Brick Link. Which is good, but not excellent. Quote
Jar Jar Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Sandy, you forgot to put Barriss Offee in the Star Wars section. Just wanted to let you know. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Ooo, hey weren't there some new ones this year in the new themes? I would get them listed (links and all) but uni is closed for the morning so I have to go to work. I do know that there is one in Atlantis, one in Toy Story and possibly one in Town. Quote
Dreamweb Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) Ooo, hey weren't there some new ones this year in the new themes? I would get them listed (links and all) but uni is closed for the morning so I have to go to work. I do know that there is one in Atlantis, one in Toy Story and possibly one in Town. I was going to mention the Atlantis girl, which has a great face BTW. Also, there's a new female character in the new 10210 Imperial Flagship, even with an extra dress according to those who have bought it... And while we're at Pirates, I've been wondering if the figurehead from 6285 Black Seas Baracuda should be on the list as well? She's obviously female, the only thing she's missing are legs. Also, I've always had an impression that some of the Martian minifigs from Life On Mars were supposed to be female, but maybe that's just my imagination... Edited January 13, 2010 by Dreamweb Quote
chump Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I too have this common affliction of wanting all the feminine Lego minifigs. This thread and your printed dresses "princesses" got me thinking about how I select which ones to get. When there were a lot less of them, it was a lot easier to try to get all the female minifigs. However, with the relatively huge increase in females (compared to the past), I've had to revise the main criteria to those with distinctly feminine torsos. Yes, those wispy outlines of curves in all the right places. No longer is just having lipstick on a minifig the only criteria. Poof! Now, I don't have to collect the soccer gals, (although they were blowing out the Women's Soccer Team set out many years ago for $2.99, so I have them) Yes, it means that the classic SW Leia in white outfit is no longer necessary for me. That's not to say the hairpieces and faces aren't important, but if you could put a male minifig head on the figure and that changed the gender then it's no longer one that I need/want/have to collect. Mainly for me that eliminates the need to collect a lot of the generic city gals. Again that's just my take on the list. I do appreciate your list for reference sake though. Thanks for all the work! Legogal Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) Sandy, This is the first time I have seen your list of female figs. Thanks for putting it together! This has to be a difficult process because there are so many slight variations of figs. I collect female figs and adore the fine design details of so many of these ladies. McGonagall, Trelawney, Offee, Secura, Elsa Schneider, Willie Scott, and a few others instantly come to my mind as favorites. Paradisa's pink lady with a white lace collar is at the top of my list of early female figs with its delicate design. It is wonderful seeing folks interested in these figs!
