Raphy Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 (edited) I wanted to ask the pros here something. You see, I'm trying to make a very long story, possibly with episodes and such. The storyline would go like most Fast And Furious movies, yanno, car racing (in this case minifig-scale Tiny Turbos), minifigs, bad guys, money, tough guys, pretty ladies and especially a lot of stuff blowing up. :skull: So I'm wondering..... My minifig collection are mainly old early 90s pieces, and the only wigs I have are the really lame kind, aka. flat-tops and standard male hair. So meh. Would anyone know what I can do here, since this is my first story line? I've got a pretty good history of Tiny Turbo mocs, and I have some good ideas. Overall, what I need help with is practially everything. How do I make good blow-up impressions? How do I give the impression of two cars, tieing to the finish line? How do I do this?? Thanks! -JD- Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I would use some camera trickery and green screens. I would use brick built FX for explosions and gunfire. There are many tutorials on YouTube.com so watch them! Watch my vids! JD Btw, any more Qs? PM me. Quote
Raphy Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 (edited) OK thanks man!! :skull: EDIT: Actually could you provide links? I've looked and I can't find your youtube account!! Edited February 14, 2009 by Raphy Quote
Joebot Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Umm can anyone help?? Please?? For the mini-fig hair problem, the solution is simple -- Bricklink. TLC has gone crazy the past few years with all the new hair styles and colors, so there should be lots of stuff out there on Bricklink. As for your other question ... that's a lot harder to answer. First, you're going to need Photoshop, or some other Photoshop-esque applciation in order to do the special effects. I use Photoshop Elements (a stripped down consumer version) for my comics, and it works great. I've also invested in some third-party plug-ins (mostly from Alien Skin Software) to give me some more options, like motion blurs, fire effects, radiant glows, etc. Beyond that, a lot of it is just trial and error. Spend some time playing around with the software, learning what it can do, and what gives you the effect you're looking for. Quote
