jobiwonkinosi Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I have heard of people exploiting this service to get parts they never had to avoid paying for them. I have been tempted to do so myself, but resisted. Just wondered what other peoples opinions are of this. I suppose it's basically stealing isn't it. Dunno, say what you want
Shadows Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I have heard of people exploiting this service to get parts they never had to avoid paying for them. I have been tempted to do so myself, but resisted. Just wondered what other peoples opinions are of this. I suppose it's basically stealing isn't it.Dunno, say what you want You've heard of people who suck. You've also heard of people who shoot others in the head for their shoes. Unless you use other people and their pathetic behaviour as a guideline for your own life, I'd suggest not doing those things. In this case, it's stealing, you're a thief if you do it, it's been discussed to death and it isn't going to be again. Consider this a new EB Guideline... if anyone promotes, suggests, or otherwise appears to cause theft from TLG, EB members or anyone else in the LEGO community, you will be banned. It isn't cute, it isn't funny, it isn't up for discussion. Drop. Dead. Banned. Discussion closed.
Zorro Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Good that this has been closed, I just despise people that do those kind of things! A real AFOL would not even think of it anyway! Most of the discussion is/was probably done by children that have not yet established proper moral values! And appereantly they do not seem to realize TLG could be surfing these boards as well, and announcing or telling they have done it into the past, might even bring themselves or others into serious problems. Also if TLG continues to read things like this they might think it would be better to close this great program. Yes, IMHO its a great program for people that actually didn't get a brick, a damaged one, or lost one. I fully support ImperialShadows' statement, and hope that this will never be discussed again on Eurobricks!
Siegfried Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 As a regular LEGO buyer I've needed to use this service several times. Twice for motor replacement, and one of those times I was sent not one but two replacements. It's a great that TLG supports their customers so well and trust them, please don't abuse this trust.
