I am thinking of creating a new Lego City and I wondered wheter anyone has some Tips on creating houses that are small, Quick and cheap to create.

I created a copy of the 376 House with Garden set in LDD:

I also need some Tips on Vehicle building. I meen for simple cars but big enough to fill the road. Not small kart-like cars.

For cars, stick to 4-wide cars because they use less bricks, and they're faster and easier to make. Also, try and find sets that have nice cars, buy them, keep the parts that you want to use (like the cars) and then break down everything else for MOCing parts.

For houses, try and use a lot of windows so that you don't need to use as many large bricks. I don't do it, but leaving off the back wall of houses saves a lot of bricks.

I second that. If you want a cheap, fast growing and easy to build city, stick to 4-wide cars, 6-wide trucks and lots of minifigs :classic:

Don´t buy the new dark bley roadplates. They are too expensive and TLC even increased the price about 1 Euro this year. Try and get older roadplates from ebay, bricklink and so on.

To add to this, the old road plates have less unnecessary crossings, and the roads themselves are 2 studs thinner, meaning there is 1 stud row of extra space for building on either side of the roads.

Also, the old baseplate system has a lot more interesting set specific baseplates (from fire stations, police stations, fuel stations and more) avaliable than the new baseplate system.
