Huntleyfx Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 (edited) Just curious, has anyone else tried using Classic Castle City standard wall sections for Pirate era MOCs? It seems to work rather well, and I'm curious about other peoples results. Edited February 2, 2009 by Huntleyfx Quote
SlyOwl Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You mean Classic Castle City Standard? I'm not sure it's too well geared to cater for Forts, as they differ considerably in layout to castles. As far as I'm aware, it doesn't allow for water related stuff, like docks. The Soldiers' Fort Standard, by Nelson Yrizarry, is a good alternative. However, it seems to me that it is a bit restricting basing it on a set - a more versatile system could have been made from scratch. His MOC, Le Baton Rouge is based on the system, and works well. The true test of it will be at a convention, in real life. My concern is that the modules may be rather small, so the dock could end up higgledy-piggledy, rather than of a linear and clean structure. Just my two cents Quote
