I've always wanted to create a tale about 4 adventurers in search of something (ok, so the story needs to be refined a bit  ). I've decided upon the design of said adventurers, but now comes the hard part: naming them! So that's where I was hoping I could get some input from the community. I'm going to give a pic of each adventurer and a short background synopsis, and hopefully you guys can come up with some decent names (seeing as how I can't). So without further ado:

Adventurer #1

"Raised by her single father since she could remember, Adventurer 1 owes her adventurous spirit to him. At the age of 16, she is witness to the kidnapping of her dad and vows revenge at the group responsible. Fate has led her to a small outpost in a distant land along with three other travelers. Gives the impression of being a tomboy, but deep down inside yearns to be a 'damsel in distress' with a Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet. Expert marksman with both a crossbow and pistol, can often be headstrong.

Adventurer #2

Adventurer_2.jpg

"A professor at the local University, Adventurer 2 is a gifted young man known for his research and vast knowledge. Overly humble and soft spoken, he prefers the silence of his office rather than the keynote speeches and lavish dinners. Although only age 28, he acts twice his age and is oblivious to the finer things in life (read: women). Has no idea that Adventurer 1 secretly admires and likes him; he always carries his old and worn messenger bag wherever he goes that contains a notebook of his most recent findings.

Adventurer #3

Adventurer_3.jpg

"A retired naval officer, Adventurer 3 has the reputation of being a mean, grumpy old man. Good with his hands and remarkably efficient in any task he completes, Adventurer 4 never backs down and never surrenders. This attitude has often led to some dicey situations, but his son (Adventurer 4) is always there to lend a helping hand. However many times his son saves the day, though, he always fails to give him the proper respect; prefers the company of intellectually gifted Adventurer #2 and openly wishes his son was more like him.

Adventurer #4

Adventurer_4.jpg

"Not the sharpest tool in the shed, Adventurer 4 has always been known for his physical prowess and athletic ability rather than his intellectual acumen. However, get to know him, and he's more than just a set of broad shoulders. Deeply devoted and surprisingly emotional, Adventurer 4 tends to keep to himself and say little while around others. Can often find the solution to a difficult problem through practical means. Son of Adventurer 3, he wants nothing more than to make his dad proud of what he has accomplished."

Ohh, sounds a bit Cthuluesque? I can always hope atleast.

1) Kim "Quick" McCleod (Tomboy named Kim, just think of the possibilities! :classic:)

2) David "Book" Laurents

3) Lieutenant Alexander "Boom" Campbell

4) Duncan "True" Campbell

@Cakeman

Wish I knew about the Cthulhu mythos, apparently it was created by some guy called HP Lovecraft (at least that's what I could discern from 2 minutes of googling)? I was thinking maybe adding a time traveling aspect into the story (big fan of LOST if anyone watches that), where they could experience different time periods in history.

All the names from everyone sound great so far; I like how you gave them nicknames Cakeman, especially "Boom" for Adventurer 3.

Let me think...

1) Sally Mae Winstead (anyone in college in US will instantly get it.)

2) Dr. William A. Hunter M.d., Ph.d

3) Captain Johnathan Ross

4) Sydney Johnson

Just a few thoughts.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

I'd really hoped to get this thing off the ground quicker, but school is taking up waaay to much of my time (that's what I get for majoring in engineering I guess). I'll try to narrow down the names soon...anyone else in the mood for some MOC building? I could always write a story and someone else could build for me, since my collection isn't that big to begin with. The torsos and whatnot for the figs aren't that rare so it shouldn't be hard to recreate them.
