meschepers Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I am going to be building a Brig style with a British Royal Navy influence/theme. I have found a good looking model to base it off of and was wondering if anyone had any input as to what kind of figurehead I should use to decorate the front of the ship. In my brief research last night I found that the British Royal Navy used a lot of Ancient Greek themed figureheads and this made me think of using some of the Brickforge Greek helmets, shields and a trident to replicate this. Would that be a good idea if it was combines with a blank yellow torso and head? Here is a link to the brickshelf folder of the ship I am using as reference: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=82960 And here is a picture of the figurehead of the HMS Warrior which I will be using as an inspiration of that part of the ship Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 You can use this as a helmet with a yellow plume. This is a nice torso for it. You should also use a plain yellow or white torso. I should use a metallic-silver or chrome-silver dish for a shield. It can be connected to a minifig hand using a tap. The leggings should be plain white or yellow. This could be a nice weapon. I have no idea for the head, perhaps a plain white or yellow? I hope this might help! Quote
