ED-209 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 This is the first new thread I've started, so I hope that I'm placing it in the correct section! I got in a Viking kind of mood and whipped up a few quick decals that I thought I'd share in case anyone was interested. Firstly a couple of torso stickers; one male and one female. I wanted something at least somewhat historically accurate, and of a more civilian nature than TLG's warriors. Secondly some new shield decals, obviously for warriors this time! http://s574.photobucket.com/albums/ss186/E.../Lego%20decals/ Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 They all look very nice...certainly the shield with the crow... Quote
Asuka Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 A good work... I like especially the wonderful woman torso and the fine raven shield. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I love them! Especially the shields look great. It would be awesome if you have an army of vikings with custom shields and torso's. Quote
Talon Karrde Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 They all look very nice...certainly the shield with the crow... Crow?! Crow?! Quote
Etzel Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Those are really nice! The torsos are beautiful and I really like that you focused on historical accuracy and civilians. The details such as the Thors hammer necklace and the womans beads are really good. An interesting fact is that the Thor hammer actually is mostly found in women graves and that beads are found in both men and women graves. Until not so long ago archaeologist were deciding the sex of the person in the graves with the number of beads in it, not a really safe method and nowadays we know better Quote
LuxorV Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Really neat and professional look Thanks for sharing, ED-209 LuxorV Quote
ED-209 Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm glad you liked them! And yes, for the record the first shield is meant to represent one of Odin's ravens. And Etzel, the main reason I put the Mjöllnir pendant on the man was that he looked a lot blander than the woman!
