SilentMode Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Check out Asda if you have the chance. I was at the big one in Clapham Junction yesterday, and they had: - Sunblock, Shave a Sheep and the banana game for £5 each; - the smaller Ramses game, the frog game and a couple of same-sized others for under £8; - just a couple of discounted Toy Story sets; - some discounted Ninjago figures, including the DX versions.
jondesouza Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Sainsburys now have 25% off all LEGO including Minifigures Series 4 making them £1.50 each :) Do you know how long this offer runs for and within which types of store it applies?
SilentMode Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Do you know how long this offer runs for and within which types of store it applies? I picked up a few at a very large Sainsburys in Vauxhall, earlier this week, at £1.50. Another smaller Sainsburys had them for £2.
Dazmundo Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I picked up a few at a very large Sainsburys in Vauxhall, earlier this week, at £1.50. Another smaller Sainsburys had them for £2. I looked in Sainsburys in Harlow yesterday and there was no sign of the offer or any Minifigs! D
jondesouza Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 If anyone is interested there is a boxed 8248 (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=8428-1) on sale for £14.99 in the Barnardo's shop in North Finchley. The box is pretty badly damaged but intact. I didn't look to see if the contents were complete.
buddy Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 As you may have seen, today I have posted reviews for the new 7049 Alien Striker and 4641 Speedboat, I bought them both from TRU, along with 4642 and 7050. TRU have all of the new Alien Conquest sets and City Harbour sets available instore. They are not in the Lego section but are in the 'featured items' area near the entrance to the store. The prices are as follows: 7049 £3.99 7050 £8.99 4641 £3.99 4642 £13.99 ~buddy~
jondesouza Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I looked in Sainsburys in Harlow yesterday and there was no sign of the offer or any Minifigs! D Exactly the same for me at the one in Harringay yesterday.
Peppermint_M Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I know it isn't Lego, I know you might be grumpy. But I know far too many like the good Doctor... The Daily Mirror is giving away the Character Building figures starting today.
Gregorovich Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I know it isn't Lego, I know you might be grumpy. But I know far too many like the good Doctor... The Daily Mirror is giving away the Character Building figures starting today. Why, oh why couldn't it be collectable minifigures ! But this is a good offer.

Spotted in the back of the TV listings. That's great! I love the Sun's LEGO promotions. Is the one with Captain Jack the boat? I hope it is, because it has a bottle in it. Thanks for sharing this valuable information!
charlieboy Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Makes a change from the Daily Mirror, dont they usually do the Lego promotions? Can you scan the article? I dont want to miss these!

charlieboy Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Excellent! Is it the usual WHSmith/Toys R Us dealio?
buddy Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Excellent! Is it the usual WHSmith/Toys R Us dealio? Yes it is , and there should be a postal option as usual, but the price for that has not been announced yet. ~buddy~
SilentMode Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Thanks for the heads up, I'm looking to grab all of these.
escortmad79 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Suweeeeeeet!! Will be buying a lot of copies of The Scum for these, pity Jack on the raft is in the Sunday one as that will work out expensive, could've done with him midweek to break up the Ninjago stuff
Peppermint_M Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Hmm, I could buy it or i could sneakily pinch it from in the office... (I work in an Engineers office, they buy The Sun for the opinions, apparently page three always has a nice pair...) I think a send away will be best this time.
SilentMode Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Back from Bluewater with an update... The PAB section was disappointing today: for the most part just your usual bricks and Hero Factory parts (though a smaller selection of Hero Factory parts than Westfield). Some of the sections on the wall were even empty. I've been told that they're expecting their next PAB shipment tomorrow... in fact their PAB shipments come on Tuesdays. (Not sure if it's weekly or monthly.) These were the parts in PAB of note: And in other news: A number of keyrings are stll discounted: Atlantis ones are 60p, the white classic spaceman and Max are 1.50). The female magnet set is still £5, and Toy Story magnets have been reduced to £6.99. The Valentine's Day set (the little book with a heart symbol) has also been reduced. The Bluewater store still has the Winter Toy Workshop, for £44.99 (more expensive than before? which is why I didn't get one). They also have the Winter Village Bakery, for £35.99. Build-a-Mini selection was similar to Westfield's the last time I posted. Finally - in case nobody's already mentioned it - the Pet Shop will be in stores tomorrow.

SilentMode Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Back from Westfield. They have the Pet Shop set on display in the front of the store, and it really does look good built. Of note: The PAB selection was in the process of being updated, so it seems like Tuesday's the day to watch out for new activity. The selection as it stood was no better than Bluewater's yesterday, but they had more of the holes filled and the Hero Factory selection was gone. Be warned: the only small pieces on offer were white dishes and flower stems. They're now offering grab bags, which are basically bags of random parts from previous PAB walls. The bags themselves contain more than enough to fill a small PAB cup, but they tend to have a lot of one or two particular pieces in each bag. They're going for £5.85 each. Plenty of discounted keyrings on sale. Was almost going to get the Sensei Wu Ninjago spinner pack, but it was £9.99. The set contains a holographic player card, a special edition gold battle card and several weapons. That's all.
SlyOwl Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Yeah, I'm enjoying the grab bags myself - plenty of nice surprises in there (although 5 doors without frames?!) There's some Easter stuff on sale at Westfields (about 99p off) - bunnies and eggs and whatnot - good for the parts, not the builds.
