Ratshot Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I would like to see the Blue coats return, I just tend to like them i guess. And maybe a Pirate line withe settlements for the blue coats to defend. Quote
Barbaros Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I would love to see the blue coats back! I mean their the originals! With regards to the islanders, good Lord I hope they don't even consider reproducing them, they were one of the prime reasons that I went into my dark ages with regards to Lego! I would also like to see merchant ships and bigger and mightier Soldiers' ships, in addition to introducing something middle eastern like possibly the Ottomans, its a long shot but I hope to see Lego surprising me with that! Legoking Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I would like to see some more bluecoats because they are my favorite and I want to build a giant army of them some time in the future. Also, I think most people like the bluecoats more than the redcoats. I don't think people want more pirates is because pirates are so easy to get. Same as islanders, but they just were not that popular as bluecoats or redcoats. Quote
Raphy Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I'm not a fan of pirates , but they seem neat, so I'll give a shot at a request: Shark Attack - 2 minifigs (1 of them female) + new shark + parrot. Crimson boat (6-wide, new mold perhaps?), with sails, net, and cannon. $ 7.99. How's that? ~Raphy~ (Darn, ye scurvy pirates have some mighty fine emoticons here, arr!!) Quote
Fluyt Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 All of the above +Imperial Armada. But I think LEGO will release at least 1 or 2 more waves of redcoats. I just wish they release all the minifigs in minifig/battlepacks (with some accesories) someday though, I don't want the sets. Quote
Ye Olde Pirate Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I want more redcoats because I am trying to build a British army. Quote
Mr Seaweed Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Armada, there weren't enough of them in the original pirate line. Quote
Legoking Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Blue coats for me... Ah, a supporter of the bluecoats. Go bluecoats! Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Ah, a supporter of the bluecoats. Go bluecoats! Yeah blue coats rule! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Bluecoats all the way! I feel sorry for my other Bluecoats... Quote
Blackheart Brit Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) I would like to see all of them, but in a timely matter. Maybe two batches each with pirates mixed in, of course. Do another batch of redcoats, then two batches of blue coats. Islanders can sort of be mixed in there. Some Armada guys too. Each should get some sort of fort, ship and other little sets too. I think they should each get their our row boat color. The dark blue boats and the redcoats are a terrific combo. If they do five sets each release first being what we have the next batch can be Redcoat ship and some smaller mixing of Pirate and Redcoats. Then a few different pirate torso, maybe the same desgin but different colors and blue coats with Bluecoat ship. Why not have two of those sets in these batches have Islanders in them, fighting both Pirates and military. Then in two years we can get two batches of Armada. Every batch will have a ship of sorts, size will vary and what side of the conflict will vary. Maybe we can finally get a big Military ship. The pirate ships have generally been larger than the Military ships. Maybe the Blucoats could have little island sets like the old Sabre Island , Broadsides Brig and the like, and a Ship of corse. In my Lego room there are so many pirates all the "Countries" have to Unite to have a big enough Force to threaten the pirates anyway. The more the merrier. ramble ramble.... Capn Frank Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 It was a tie between Armada and Blue coats. I want them both. This made me chose the one that gives me the most suck up points to Mr. Phes and voted for Armada. I want more redcoats because I am trying to build a British army. Don't UK officers where blue? Capt. Kirk Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Ah, a supporter of the bluecoats. Go bluecoats! Ye Ye,... I'm a blue coat fan... the red coats I only use to airbrush in another colour like dark green... Please red coat fans... don't take this comment to serious. Quote
Casval Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Rather than rehashing old things over and over, I would like Lego to stick with the Pirates and the Redcoats for the main part of the theme. I definitely don't think the Imperial Armada is worth bringing back, and the Islanders never did much for me. The Bluecoats really seem like the would just be too similar to the Redcoats. We already have an Imperial army, sadly they chose the wrong one (Bluecoats would have been infinitely better). Quite frankly, if they want to expand beyond the Pirates and the Redcoats I think they should do something new. The one thing I would love to see, and I doubt I am the ONLY one, is Ghost Pirates. Use a few skeletons with Pirate gear, make a ship with a lot of wrecked stuff (holes in the hull and side of the cabin), and give it some glow in the dark stuff (I would love to have glow in the dark sails, but glow in the dark skeletons would be cool too). Don't make a lot of it, perhaps one medium sized ship set and a hideout set. I am currently building an MOC ship for my Imperial Army (done with a black cabin, it will be called something like the Black Beauty), and should TLG produce a ship for them, I will probably convert this MOC into a Ghost Ship.
