BlueBard Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I think the design is quite beautiful, and the MF goes so well with that I voted Above Average Quote
DarthPineapple Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 What a great set! I hope I can pick this one up for just 9.90 EUR instead of S@H 13 EUR as well, just as the Digger. Quote
phoinix Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 i really like this set. so realistic and yet its still lego peaceful and calm colors on the box art which is great and the whole theme is smth we have been asking for a while great review! i will be getting this one as soon as i find one!! its a pitty thow that there isnt a cow in a cheaper set oh and it seems like someone has the farm set! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=365495 Quote
Razzer Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I can't believe you disobeyed the instructions and built on carpet I'd lock your door. Lego is probably sending around a couple of goons to beat you up even as we speak. Carpet? I always thought it was telling us to not build on grass, that certainly is a wild and unruly carpet... Eleven Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I just bought the Farm and the Harvester today. They showed up at TRU this morning. For anyone who wants to know, the price on the Farm was $89.99, and the Harvester was $46.99. I just finished building them about an hour ago, and believe me, they are beautiful! <sniff, sniff> The Farm had quite a few great pieces, some rare (like the tan Indy fedora), some just especially useful. And the design and details were really great, too (I loved the birdhouses). Great review, by the way. Very funny, too. I was chuckling throughout the whole thing. I bought the Tractor a few days ago and am very happy with it. However, the next time TRU has one of their big sales on LEGO, if I had to choose one of these sets to buy in duplicate, the Farm would definitely be it. Quote

Ricecracker Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 You died? No, I think he just bought it. -Ricecracker Quote
Algernon Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I'm not a City collector and I love this set! Quote
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I went into my local TRU on the way home from work to pick up the combine I saw there a few days earlier. They were sold out so I picked this set up. I was so thrilled and excited I had to build it right away, so I sat in my car in the parking lot and built it. I just love the set. Thanks for the review. xenologer Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 $14.99 Oh dear that price is definetly a dealbreaker for me. Its nice, but I can simply take parts I already have and make one just about the same. Especially with the Front End Loader being only $12.99 Quote
Col. Brik Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Thanks for a great review. Adding this set to my "must buys" of 2009 Quote
Wout Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Great pictures! It looks very good and has great pieces - I want two. No idea when it will be available in my country, though - it's not even on S@H yet. I read in the shops catalogue that it would be released here in March. So don't worry. Quote
MatthewUSA Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Thank you for the review liquidcross. This tractor definitely tops the charts when it comes to tractors TLC has made in the past. The prices for sets this year just want to make you cringe. I definitley did when I saw this set at TRU. I hope other stores in the USA will set these sets, not just TRU. Thank you again for the great pics. Model On!! Quote
BlueBard Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Farm sets are finally in Spain and obviously I ran to get this little one. After building it I really think it's a must have for every Lego fan: it's quite realistic and the MF is lovely! Halas, as I bought it in the South of Europe and no in the german-dutch Lego paradise I had to pay 14€ for it Anyway I truly recommend anyone to buy it! Quote
Hellingly Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Great review! I bought this last week. I love it! Naturally I voted 'outstanding'. Quote
Zorbas Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Very nice set! I bought it two 2 weeks ago and the whole structure is great! The minifig's torso is superb! The only minor flaw perhaps is that there isn't an opening or a window on the driver's cockpit. Let the man breathe! Overall excellent set and a great starting point for a farm collection. Halas, as I bought it in the South of Europe and no in the german-dutch Lego paradise I had to pay 14€ for it The price here in Greece (how south is that? ) is €11.99. I find it strange that Spain is more expensive. Quote
Er!k Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Bought the set Tuesday for €9,95 (The Netherlands). Really like it, the minifig, the design Quote

paul_delahaye Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I just picked up this set today in Argos, a great little build, could have done with a bale of hay to go in the tipper! Quote
prateek Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I this set. The only gripe is that the fender for the back wheels should've been covered with plates and a red cheese slope Quote
Rick Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) I just got this set (on sale for €5 ) and I basically agree with prateek's opinion: the fenders could use some detailing, but other than that a really nice model. However, I have one question about the model for all tractor experts here: What is the detailing on the left side of the tractor supposed to represent? The long bar on the right side is obviously the exhaust, but is the 1 x 4 plate covered with the tile and the grilled tile on the left also some sort of exhaust? Edited December 25, 2009 by Rick Quote
Big Cam Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I'm happy this got bumped, I missed this review before. Cute set but I think it's a bit overpriced, the 2010 city sets look like better deals to me, but the review is great. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 'Rick' I believe that device you speak of is more like an air cleaner, so one side has an intake of air and the other side has the exhaust. Yes it is also a great little set with heaps of MOD's which could be done to it like this. Quote
