Oky Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) Hello there! I know that not many of you make Lego mosaics, but I was wondering what those of you who do make them use to generate the pic. Until I had to reinstall everything on my computer, I had a link to the old website where TLC provided a generator for Lego mosaic instructions. That's what I used to make my Lego mosaics, but now I don't have it anymore. So, here are my questions: Does anyone still have that link? What other software can I use to make similar instructions for Lego mosaics? Any other suggestions? Also, I'm working on a little presentation on mosaics for my art history class right now, so if you have any other interesting information on mosaics and how they are created and famous artists who make them, or perhaps pictures, please post them as well! Thanks. Edited January 23, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Ricecracker Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I myself am in the midst of creating a few mosaics for my friends (as bar mitzvah presents), and I use the program PicToBrick. A great thing about it is that you can download on PC or Mac computers, so everyone can use it. Good luck! -Ricecracker P.S. I am on somebody else's computer, and I can't get the link to work, if somebody can tell the how to format the link, that would be helpful Quote
Nyundi Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I wrote a tutorial not too long ago (link) about making mosaics using Photoshop. I'm not too sure custom software, but this method allows you to set the exact resolution and color palette you want to use. It is, I'm sure, more time consuming than simply plugging a JPG into custom software tho Quote

They are really nice people. I now find it fairly simple Quote
