SeaKing61 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Just some pics of a Grand Piano I made on LDD today. The limited pieces available on LDD made this more challenging than it needed to be! The whole thing started with an idea of how to do the keys and the legs; they're the bits i'm most happy with. The lid was the most challenging part, it doesn't have quite the same profile as the body of the piano A view under the lid. The whole thing costs £10.86 or £5.40 without the stage or minifig. This is my first MOC uploaded to Brickshelf and my first on Eurobricks too. I have many to share but no camera at the moment so you'll have to make do with my LDD attempts Thanks for looking, Laurie Quote
BlueBard Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Wow, for a LDD design I think it's just amazing! And cheap! Quote
BillytheKid Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Wow, cool. Now making one with real bricks . Quote
SeaKing61 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I'm probably gonna order most of the parts and try to modify it with some non LDD pieces. I'll be sure to post pics once it's done. I'll definately be adding a couple of 1x1 black tiles to cover the studs on the lid. For some reason they're available in pick a brick but not to buy on LDD, bizarre! Laurie Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Wow, that's a very realistic piano you've made. It's nice and cleanly made, and the shape is perfect. I love all of the details, from the strings inside the grand piano to the antenna holding the lid up. Considering the restrictions of LDD this MOC is truly superb. Great work. Quote
Monki Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Awesome Piano, especially with the limitations of LDD! I especially like how you did the keys - Very clever Quote
djo Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 very nice grand piano. very realistic too, with keys and strings. great work. Quote
SeaKing61 Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Thanks for the compliments. I wanted to get as many details as I could in. I started with the keys and built the piano around them. The strings inside were more of an after thought cos it looked a little empty inside. Laurie Quote
