Sandy Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 So, my photocomic Princess Quest reached it's conclusion, and I wanted to show you these settings I made for the final chapter as a kind of "epilogue", just because I'm quite proud of how they turned out to be. When looking through these, please remember that they are meant to be settings for photographs, not as a complete castle or anything like that. First up, here are all the different parts of the castle I built for the comic: the courtyard, the hallway and the throneroom. The hallway is the simplest of them, with a pathetic attempt to make a floor mosaic out of tiles... I just don't have enough of them to make a decent pattern. I like the statues, though, and I've been using them in several MOCs already. Here's the backside of the hallway, featuring the door to the throneroom. And here's the throneroom itself. Note the stainglass window above the throne, the flag-carrying armors in pedestals and the doors on each side of the room. Boy was this room cramped in the battle scene of the comic! The backwall is easily removable to give better access for photographing. And finally the courtyard, which was the first thing I built and probably took the most time, as well. All four walls are removable, giving freedom in choosing what angle to take photos from. That concludes this quick tour around Castle Brickborough. Who knows, I might do a complete MOC of the castle for the sequel of PQ, Queens' Quest, that I'll launch this spring - but only if I have enough pieces by then. Quote
kill will Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 All of the scenes look pretty cramped, but otherwise they look nice and detailed. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Thanks for posting these pictures Sandy, it's nice to see the creations in their entirety. I like the way you made those arched columns in the throne room. Quote
Teddy Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Dear Sandy, those "sets" are really great! Verry smart to make all walls removable to allow easy access for photographs. Kind regards, Teddy Quote
